Well i broke down today and gave McKenzie her first haircut :) I didn't know if I wanted to or not because her hair is so wonderful, thick, silky, shiny, straight and not a single matt (and I don't brush her everyday) I love her hair!

But I know with her active little self that she'd feel better in a short summer cut for the summer :)

So here she is!!!

She is 5 months old.

Thanks Brooke! And she was soooooo good for her first time going under the clippers! I didn't have to use the arm on my grooming table at all. she just stood there! I hope she is always like that! :p

Thanks :) First time with her :) I groom all my babies at home. I don't trust leaving them in someone elses hands.

She is darling!! I took Lily yesterday and she got her hair cut too for the first time. She was matted next to her skin so they had to cut her down pretty close....I have tried everything w/her and she matted so I want to take care of her now from this point so that doesn't happen again!! What do ya all recommend do I brush or use a comb when she is so short like this and do I air dry or blow dry if she has short hair like this?? She is scratching like crazy but I think it might be from getting cut and everything because she doesn't have fleas. She is dragging her butt real bad since she came home and they did her anal glands so the lady said it might be because they cut around her butt?? POOR BABY!! She had a bad hair day yesterday for sure!! I feel like a horrible mommy but I thought I was getting the mats out but they were tight next to her skin!!

She looks so cute!! She's the same age as Ranger and he just got his first cut yesterday. He looks like an entirely different dog!! I'm getting ready to post some before and after pics of him...How much does Mackenzie weight? She looks alot smaller than Ranger...but he is a hoss!

You really did a great job. Maybe one day I will get to that part. I did my first cut last week and that is because Cali hates to have the grooming done. So I figured summer let her be cut short. She is only 7mos and maybe she will get over it. My first short hair yorkie.

aww too cute! now if only i have the guts to pull out all my tools and watch the dvd again so i can give yoshi a haircut...he is beginning to look like a shaggy ball...hehe
