Now that Maggie is almost 6 months old and housebroken, she sleeps in the bed with me. She wakes up about 6AM, doing her stretching and scratching. Gucci sleeps in the bed with us. If im sleeping and she needs to go, she goes to her pee pad and then comes back to bed and goes back to sleep. When I wake up I kiss her and let her sleep. My hubby says that she has my schedule, when I sleep, she sleeps. |
Mocha would have me up several times a night by her barking.. It would drive me crazy.. On the other hand, Lily Mae is better.. When i hear her whimper I make her stay in the crate until she stops.. Usually I can stay in bed till around 8:30 without a problem.. Thank goodness!! |

Bentley does a few different things... he will sit right next to my face and cry til i wake up...or he'll dig at the bed....or... he will start nibbling on fingers!! i guess it just depends on his mood! |
OMG..this is such an issue in our house. I am so sleep deprived (wake up time 6-630am :cool: Sebi and Sweet Pea sleep with us. I either wake up to Sebi licking me or movement above my head of one of them getting comfortable on MY pillow. Than we go downstairs, go outside, come back in and its PLAY time. RUNNING UP THE STAIRS jumping in the bed, wrestling, playing under covers, Sebi has to bring every toy he can possibly find to Sweet Pea. I just want to sleep in ONE DAY :D. But we wouldn't change it for the world. We love and enjoy them so much. |
Tuffy sleeps in the bed with us and he almost never wakes me up. He'll sleep in as long as I want to sleep in. But as soon as he suspects me of being awake he will jump over on top of me to do his morning stretches.. which usually consists of pawing me in the face. My husband always leaves before I do during the week so Tuffy will just go back to sleep after he leaves. But on the weekends when I work Tuffy immediately wakes my husband up. My husband never gets to sleep in. :p Pixie sleeps in her room (the guest bathroom) and if she hears someone get up she'll start crying for attention. But on days I wake up early she'll be all snuggled in her bed and she does NOT want to be woken up. She's a total sleepy head when she feels like it. :D |
I wake Cosmo up in the morning. He is soo lazy and sleeps in late. lol. But I am not complaing I like it a lot. Becuase I am not a morning person at all. |
We go back and forth on who gets up first. We work nights, so we keep Eddie up until 3 or 4. When I wake up first, usually around 11, I pet Eddie and he does the GI Joe crawl Villette was talking about. It's actually a big stretch, and it's very cute. Sometimes I'll grab his little legs and pull on them to help him stretch, and he seems to love it. Of course, when he gets up first, usually around 10:30, he'll sit right on me and bark until I get up. The wife knows I'm a sucker, so she sleeps in another hour. |
early to rise Merlot is always the first one up!! He sleeps with me or in his bed next to mine. In the morning, usually around 7am he stands at the side of the bed staring at me and whimpers for me to get up. Sometimes he will just stand there silently and I will wake up to a cute little face staring at me sleeping!After about three whimpers I get up and we go out for our morning walk!! |
Well before we got Meeko ( 3 weeks ago ) Kali would sleep in about a hour after I wake up. Now that we have the puppy we are up with the sun. Gone are the days of sleeping in. It's like having a newborn...LOL. I'm hoping that Kali will train him so he will let us sleep a little longer. Meeko is 13 weeks old and I allowed him in bed with us two nights ago and so far so good. No accidents so far. I'm hoping I don't roll over into something smooshy or wet...... |
Kacee wakes me up. At first, she would wake up anywhere from 4 to 5:30 am. Now, it's usually 6 to 6:30. She has the cutest way of waking me. She crawls up from the side and puts her front paws over my face and starts kissing ya! :p |
Jim sleeps on his stomach with his face resting on his arms. As soon as the alarm clock goes off, Katie wiggles under his arms in order to reach his lips - then she gets busy! I always hear Jim say in a baby voice, "Awww c'mon Katie hot lips, daddy wants to sleep some more." But of course he has no choice but to kiss her and this helps wake him up faster. Codie could care less! When the alarm clock goes off, he just snuggles with me deeper into the covers. When Jim gets out of bed, both Codie and Katie follow him inside and "help" his get dressed for work. LOL Then he gives them kisses, puts them back in bed with me and goes to work. We sleep a little more until about 7:30 and then Katie and Codie ATTACK ME!!! I love it!! They jump all over me and I try to hide under the blanket - then they growl and try to wiggle their way in. Then we do our snugglies and kisses and then they "help" me get dressed (meaning they chase me around the house until I'm ready to leave for work). I love our morning routine. :D |
