Pia's cold : ( 4 Attachment(s) Hi everyone, as many of you know I shaved Pia a couple weeks ago. Her hair was to the floor and she was so hot. I couldn't take watching her act miserable, so off went the hair. :cool: However, now my poor baby is freezing! :( I've been putting double clothes on her and she's still shivering. Today she seems to be extra cold and she has on a t-shirt, pjs and a hoodie. If I keep her wrapped in a blanket she eventually stops shivering but she can't lay there all day. Does anyone have any suggestions? It's about 70-75 out today and the others are fine. I turned the heat on in their bedroom but the others are now roasting and don't want in there. :cool: I don't know what to do and now she's just buddled up in her blankie. :( Look how pitiful she looks walking around here. She reminds me of a little hobo with the layers of clothes on. :cool: |

Maybe you need to find her a fleece jogging suit so she can still run around and play !!! I have one I bought at a pet store, its warm and covers everything , even there head if they like that, ( it has a hood) |
I have an idea Dina....send her to me. :D:D I am in Florida and she will be fine here with me. :p In that case send them all because I can be playing favorites. :p LOL!!! She is too cute! :D |

poor chilly Pia!! I usually sleep with a heating pad under my back because it feels so good.......well now that is Winston's favorite place to sleep. When we go to bed at night, he gets so excited when I click the heating pad on!!:D;) He is sleeping on it still right now! It makes him very drowsy and warm and happy!! Stay warm little Pia!! |
What precious pictures. You could also send her to me (in Georgia). I would never put her down long enough for her to cool off! She shouldn't be cold too much longer...summer's coming and her hair will be growing back in some. I think this should be the worst of it. The heating pad might work too. Now, I have to go back and look at her pictures again. :D |

She really is adorable.. I live in Maine so its cooler here, but I have an electric blanket, she could come visit and sleep with me ,Lucy, and Cooper under the electric blanket !!!!:rolleyes::D:p |
:coolpics: Poor little baby snuggle,snuggle,snuggle!!! I think a heat pad is a good idea. Also i have a teddy bear with a removable bag of wheat inside which you heat in the microwave! You will have to keep an eye on her at first, make sure she doesn't try to eat it!!! |
We use heated beds and their favorite spot is the beds with heating pads on them. They use it all the time. Even in the summer they use them. It gets chilly here quite often. |
I'll take her and keep her warm. My daughter and I love Pricess Pia. Every time I see a picture you've posted of her I send it to her. We have two little boys and you just can't dress them up like that. She is sooo cute. |
I'm having the same problem with Jake. I didn't shave him, but I did cut a lot of his hair off, and it was almost to the floor. When I did it, of course, the weather was hot. Now it's back to being chilly.:rolleyes: He normally won't wear clothes, but he has been wearing them more lately. He seems fine during the day because he is active and playing. At night, I put one of his blankets in the dryer and get it warm for him.:) |

Awwww, how adorable is she?!! I'm so sorry to hear that she is freezing! Have you thought about making a little warming bed for her? Almost like a whelping spot? I don't know ANYTHING about this stuff, but maybe you could put a doggie bed down, put a heating pad down, and lay a towel over it. That way, she could lay down for a while until she is sufficiently warm. Then, she could run around until she needs to warm up again. That allows the others to avoid roasting while she has a little refuge. HTH |
poor pia! Shes so cute! You could always send her to me. Its btwn 85-90 outside and our AC is broken, so its nice and warm in my house! |
Oh poor baby! Do you have one of those warming discs that you heat in the microwave and can put in their beds? We used one of those in the stroller in the winter at the dog parade and it really helped! |
Zoeybear and Baby Chloe have offered to let Pia sleep in the middle. Pack her bags and send her to California! |

Poor Pia...and you Dina! You just can't win for losing! Your a good mommy in making her not be sooo hot and now this! Well, atleast, it is easier to control the cold then hot! I bet her hair grows back pretty fast and that will give her some thickness (even if you keep it short). How about satin...isn't it pretty warm too (like fleece)? I remember satin sheets (back in the day):rolleyes: that seemed to be pretty warm. Satin, fleece and flannel. How about if you put her clothing in the dryer before putting them on her? I think the flannel and fleece would hold in some of that heat for awhile. I know since we cut Mojo done really short, we have had to keep clothing on him too...course, I am hot natured and HAVE to have the AC cranked up, but I have managed it on a higher setting to help Mojo! :wub: That Pia, she's such a tiny girl......I just don't know what else you can do. The heating discs are nice, but I know that girl likes to be on the move...I just don't know. |

Well, so Pia is freezing huh? I see you've had plenty of offers to take her and keep her warm. But other then wearing all those pretty clothes to keep her comfy...I have no great ideas.
