I'm a new yorkie mom! 1 Attachment(s) I've been in stealth mode the last few weeks reading the information that is available on this site. I felt it was time that I registered and came out of hiding. My owner is Carter, born on Independence Day in the US - 7/4/04. He came to live with me on Christmas Day during a rare -- extremely rare -- snow event! He has fit in well at home . . . about 95% - 98% housetrained. He sleeps in my room but in his own bed. He has learned how to climb out of his area of confinement when we're not home so we'll have to decide how to handle that situation. I have a human daughter left at home that I'm still raising - 14, almost 15 years old. At her dad's house, she has two males yorkies and has begged for a yorkie at our house for a few years. Carter, though, is my yorkie! I look forward to getting to know all of you. Some faces are familiar already from other www sites. I've attached an image of Carter from a photo session we did on the 17th. Here are the others that are posting worthy . . . http://lneal.com/family/carter edited url -- I had to design a simple gallery page for Carter since I'm accumulating more pics of him! |
Awww, Carter is adorable! Welcome to Yorkie Talk - I'm glad you came out of hiding!! ;) |
Thanks Aimee! I have a sister with the same name and same spelling . . . but we're from south Louisiana where everything is spelled the French way!! Lisa |
I hear ya - my father is French - so we all have very french sounding names, mine is actually the most American! I was looking through your web page - your photographs are AMAZING! If I lived closer.... ;) Anyway, you are VERY talented!! Quote:

Very unique facial cut! For some reason, he looks older than 7 months to me, maybe it's just the long hair? Welcome to YorkieTalk Carter and Carters Mom! :) |
Hi, welcome Carter and Mommy! Carter is very cute, looks like a very good boy for you. Those pictures are amazing. Did you take them yourself?? Brandi & Hercules |
FastEddie: He's a great pup! If it weren't for his teeth, I'd think the same thing about his age. His hair is just long. At this time, I'm thinking that I'll let his hair grow because it really has been easy to keep up thus far. I'm sure I'll change my mind when upkeep becomes cumbersome. He really doesn't act like a pup either -- he's not hyper. We have at least two sessions of fetch a day - usually first thing in the morning and during TV time at night. He's 95-98% housebroken too. Brandi: I'm a portrait and sports action photographer. Carter is my first fur-subject. I've had people incorporate their dogs in family portraits but I had never done a dog alone. Aimee: Thanks for the kudos! Thanks to everyone for the friendly welcome! Lisa |
Welcome to YorkieTalk! Carter is so distinguished looking! What a talented photographer you are! Loved looking at your website...... |
Thanks, Higgin's Mom! I've just recently updated the site and still need to add more images in the galleries. Lisa |
Lisa, Carter is an absolute doll... and I love his name! He certainly looks like he loves having his picture taken. I have plenty of relatives in LA, so I may have to make a trip over and have Trevor's pictures taken. You're web site is great! Cyndie and Trevor |
Cyndie: If you're ever near here, you are welcome to stop in for a photo session! I'm south/southwest of New Orleans near Houma. :) |
Benjisbuddy: I just sent you a PM. Thanks! |
he looks full blooded to me and very very cute!! |
I was wondering what it was about Carter's portrait that appeared non-fullblooded. Thanks for your response. |
Hi Lisa - so nice to see you here!! Ana xx |
