We took Scooter to the Dog Beach in St. Pete on Friday and had a really good time! Unfortunately, I hurt my back right before we left and was afraid to get in the water, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back up! LOL Enjoy!

You'd be surprised how much he loves it. It's the Gulf so not many waves, actually it's usually pretty flat, much like a swimming pool. He loves to swim. We took him many times last year and he really enjoyed it! Have to be careful of sunburn on him, so we always take a big umbrella to shade him. And, in the event that there are waves, we don't let him go in. We took him over to Ponte Vedra last summer and the waves were so rough that there was no way I was going to let him get anywhere near them!!!!

Great Pics!! Scooter's a darling little boy. Soooo, if you didn't go into the water, does that mean that Scooter had to stay out too? Oh my. That would be like dangling a piece of candy in front of a child and not allowing him to have it.:D:D:D:D:D

Yeah, but since I could barely move, had he gotten in and gotten in trouble, that would have been all she wrote! Better safe than sorry and he'll get to go again!

Scooter looked so cute on the beach. I think there are some dog products out there with some spf in them!
An umbrella is definately a must out there.

Here is Smella Bella on the same beach! It is my favorite place. This pic is from a month ago or so. There were tons of people/dogs there. My fav beach for sure.!! There were about 4 or 5 other yorkies there that day.
I remember when Bella was about 3 months old, I had to carry her to and from because the trail is sooooooo long. she was wiiiiiiiped out!! She always sleep on the way home!

we will get to the beach in NW Florida in 13 days... yaaaaa..... I grew up in Pensacola every summer with my aunt and my girls LOVE it! We try to spend at least a week or two there every year, cant wait!!!
unfortunately, the pups wont be there, they are staying home with Daddy.

ahhh how fun!!!!! I bet he enjoyed it sooo much! The beach is beautiful!!!!. I live in South Florida and dogs are not allowed on beach :( But we try to go to the west coast whenver we can, because over there they are allowed :)

My son, brother and in-laws all live in Pensacola, as did we until 6 years ago. It's just beautiful there and I love the beaches so much. We're going up Memorial Day weekend to see everyone. I miss it so much!
