My "labrador retriever"
 

For my 800th post I decided to share with yall a story from this weekend and show a picture of the result. Lol.
My fiance came down this weekend for my birthday and we were outside my apartment feeding the ducks. Well we had Reeses and my jack russell Ginger out there with us to let them run around a little bit and get some fresh air. They dont get as much freedom when my fiance isnt down here because I am just too scared they might run off. But Reeses knows he is the dominant male and will obey him the very second he raises his voice slightly. Anyways, Ginger was chasing after the ducks making sure they stayed in the water because she didnt like the ducks coming up on land. Lol. Well Reeses saw what she was doing and thought it looked like fun so he goes running just as hard as he can run and instead of screeching the breaks on at the last second at the edge of the bank...he just keeps on running and leaps out into the water...front legs extended as far forward as possible and back legs as far backwards...all he needed was a lil red cape and he could have passed for superman!! It was absolutely hilarious!! For the rest of the day we refered to him as our lab. Lol!!! I never expected him to do that since he doesnt like baths OR rain or wet ground after the rain...so I didnt have my camera with me...however...here is a picture of him in the bath tub afterwards...if you look at the side of the tub you can see he was muddy too!! Lol. Sorry this was long but I had to share the whole story!! Lol.

I had a terrier mix- years ago- we were fishing from the banks- my dog got to running up and down the path- didn't get stopped- or else thought those lily pads would hold him!!LOL!

That story is so cute & I love the bath pictures! Jaxon leapt off our pond bank & our son had to jump off the dock & rescue him. He now owns a life vest! Hugs-Kay & Jaxon

Aww...thats not a bad idea to get a life jacket!! He usually doesnt like water so I never really worried about it but one thing that my fiance told me was to watch him and it may not be really smart to let him do it again cause he is scared that the ducks might flogg him and cause him to drown. :eek: Hopefully they are more scared of him than they are fierce since Ginger chases them alot and keeps them off her territory. Lol. So if he is gonna get in the water he def needs a life jacket just to be on safe side but I think it will be wise to ban him from the ducks! Lol. Plus there are some snapping turtles in that pond so I really dont want him in it. Lol. I think for his safety the pond is off limits except for a lil "get your feet wet" Lol.
He had so much fun but then when the bath came...I think he regretted it. Lol!

Oh how funny! He's saying "Hello? Superman doesn't have to take a bath after his crusades!"

I love the look on Ginger's face "why do I have to take a bath I didn't jump in the pond??? I will get even with him!!!!"

Yep! It was definitely a fun-ny day!!
Their expressions are very distinct...you can definitely tell what they were thinking! Lol. I just wish I could have been in the water to see Reeses flying towards me...I bet his expression woulda looked like this...:D
