Alfie Yorkie x Westie 4 Attachment(s) Hi all, Its been a good while since I last posted any pics of Alfie, who is now 6 mths old. Alfie is a yorkie x westie, he sure does have the nature of a yorkie. He's a joker, cuddlebum and a kleptomiac. Sorry about some of the pics but he wont stay still long enough! Lol. |
I LOVE Alfie. What a great mix, too. The cuddliness of a Yorkie and the zaniness of a Westie. I'll bet he keeps you busy! |
Thank you! We totally adore Alfie, he brings so much laughter in our lives. He certainly keeps us busy but more so Jamie who is a 9 year old who had been in ill health till we got Alfie, but Jamie is back to being a puppy himself. |
What a great story. I have a 12-year-old who acts like a pup around my 3-year-old. It took a while for them to warm up to each other, but now they're best friends. And I know what you mean about the older one acting like a pup. |
He is adorable:) Love his name;) |
Alfie is a cutie pie! He has the sweetest face! :D |
I have a Yorkie (Edie) and a Westie (Breezy). THey are hilarious together, and after an initial adjustment period, they have become inseparable. It must be crazy having a yorkie/westie mix!!! Both breeds have such wacky personalities! |
He is so cute! I just love his cute little face. |
:) He's such a cutie! |
Aw, what a cutie pie he is...and Personality Plus. |
We just received a yorkie/westie cross puppy and love her to pieces! We are having issues with food and pottying and any advice would be appreciated. Oh btw hello :D |
He is the cutest thing!!! Love the name :) ALFIE!! |

This may sound silly but Alfie had no issues about food until a couple of months ago. He's turned into a fussy little fellow, he will eat only what he wants to or if he sees one of us pretending to eat his food. Lol. When we brought Alfie home we fed him and to be truthful, when he would get hungry he sat on the kitchen floor looking up to the bench and cry, he still does it to this day and in the exact same spot. As for toilet training he was totally fantastic! After feeding we took him into the garden and told him wee wee. We put training pads down for him but after a couple of days he stopped using them and just lay on them. After just having him three weeks he cried at the door to be out and its been that way since. I think our older dog Jamie helped with this. Only thing we did have trouble with was if we had been out even for 10 minutes and came back in Alfie would dribble little puddles by our feet Lol. He grew out of this by the time he was 5 months old. All in all he was totally brilliant. Good luck with your puppy, whats it called? This reminds me that I shall have to post some newer pics, as he looks so very different now. Thank you all for your lovely comments. |
3 Attachment(s) Here is a couple of newer pics than the ones posted. I have even more upto date ones somewhere. Alfie is a *big un* his father is around 11 lbs yorkie and his mother......a whopping 35 lb westie. Aflie is 18 lbs. |
Alfie is so cute. I sure can see the two breeds in him. I have Yorkies and one Westie. What a great combo of personalities... |
