Sammy got her hair cut super short and super cute!!
 

I had the groomer cut her short for her LP surgery next month. We found out she can't be bathed for at least 4 weeks after and I am used to weekly baths and nice smelling dogs! :p Anyway Sammy has a very thick cottony coat and she looks like she's 10 pounds when she's really 6. Now she is so petite looking and her clothes are super cute with no "bubble butt"! I have always kept Loki in a super short cut year round but I think this will be Sammy's new summer look. What do you think?

Also cute - I have been sick so my husband had to take her to the groomer, and not just drop her off either. My groomer is wonderful and does one dog at a time. I usually schedule both of mine and chat with her while she does Loki and then help with Sammy because she is a bit of a drama queen on the table. So, DADDY got to help with his little princess. He didn't complain one bit and I got a full report when they got home!

I know I can't believe her colors! I was sure that when she came back today she would be silver but she's jet black! She's almost 2!! I hope it stays like that for a long time. My friend's yorkie stayed black until he turned gray from old age.

I did have to specifically ask her to cut her that short. She lets me be very specific about how I want every thing (ears, topknot, bridge of their nose, tummy shave...) I know she thinks I'm wierd that I like Sammy so short because her hair is so pretty but it just tangles so easily and she fights me when I brush her (but she sits pretty for her topknot, just so she can rip it out... :rolleyes: ) Anyway she has 3 Yorkies and she is just a sweet lady who treats them so nicely. They always get treats and cuddles after their baths and she never pushes them too far so they still love going there. Sometimes they come home with nails trimmed on only 3 of 4 feet, but they run up to her and give her kisses rather than shake like Loki would at our first groomer.

By the way, her other customers specifically ask for the "Loki" cut so his must be unique! I think some people like when they don't have to fuss with a topknot on a boy!

The kids look darling in their short hair. I kept Sophie in full length hair for 11 years, and then had her cut short. For the first few days, I had to do a double take because she looked so different but it was so much easier to care for her. Warmly, Deborah
