Otis: Teaching New Tricks VIDEO
 
Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks! ;)

The tricks in this video were:

1. Wave Hi
2. Bang Bang You're Dead
3. Roll over
4. Wave Bye Bye!

He was too excited to actually stay "dead" for trick number two, and he kept popping up to get a treat. But he got the hang of it.

You may have to click the link, and then just wait a few moments. It takes a moment for the video to load it, but it should work fine for Mac or PC. But you may need the free Quicktime to be installed on your computer.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm Otis' "godfather" actually. Junebug is Otis' real mamma, but we were playing around with the video clips on my digital camera at my place.

Otis is great. Just use treats, and he learns really quickly.

What a smart boy and CUTE !!! He's just too adorable - I loved the waving bye bye and when he kept rolling over I was pretty impressed - I can get Chanel to roll - but she wants her treat RIGHT AWAY and does it once and says - OK - I'm done !! That's so cute ...good job on the video - and Junebug....WHAT A BABE he is !

Otis rocks! It's uncanny how similar Otis and Yoda look! Yoda has like the same haircut and everything! Shaved except for paws, though Yoda's face is a bit smaller since we cut that area tighter!

Yeah, and a little bird told me that FastEddie and I have the exact same digital camera! It's pretty fun playing with the 30-second video clip option.

The trick I can't believe Otis learned is "use the stairs". It honestly only took him like 5 mins to learn it, and now when we want him to come up on the couch or bed, you can just say "Use the stairs" and he'll do it. HINT: Just put food at the very top of the staris, and then repeat the phrase and food until he gets it. :D

Slick tip on use the stairs! We only have stairs to the bed, the rest of the time he hops up and down from the couch onto carpet. Did that little birdy also tell you that fasteddie has never used the video clip option on his digicam? I think the birdy said it was due to laziness, that or the lack of reading any manuals? ;)

Yoda's Mommy got a Canon SD300, and I have done a few video clips with that...

I had to wait til I got home to my iBook to watch the vid because stupid Dell @ work doesn't have quicktime...

but anyway... Otis is soooo adorable! I'm very impressed.
