Last week Bella went into her first heat..I was planning on getting her spayed after the holidays, but it came up too soon! So anways, it was like 10:30 at night, and the only place I know of that sells pet diapers is petsmart, but they close by that time. So we went to Jewel but I couldn't find any premie diapers, so finally we decided to by pantyliners, and put a sock on her for that night until I could go to petsmart the next day and get her diapers. She looked so cute and funny in the sock, I had to get pics of it!

Not to mention I learned a very valuable lesson from this..do NOT wait to spay a female dog! I hate dealing with this! LOL my fiance and I are always arguing over who has to change her diaper, just like a real baby, LOL.

that first one of her standing up on her back legs is so funny! Looks like she could be a little boxer in her trunks ;)

Well that is way funny. And what an experience now you know what it will be like to have a really baby.....ha ha But guess you used that sock was a clever ideal.

Yeah it was a saver! It was either that or she sleeps in the cage, and I couldn't do that to her because she's used to sleeping on the bed, she would have no idea why and it would break her heart

The sock idea is cute. I have to ask, I've never seen a Yorkie shaved down? Please don't take offense, just asking since I've never seen one shaved. Did you purposly shave her or was there a reason. Elaine

Don't worry, no offense taken. She actually doesn't have hair. She was born w/ a gene in which she doesn't grow hair, so what little hair she has now is probably all she'll get.

Cute pics! What kind of dog is she? Is she a yorkie and something else or just a yorkie? I was just wondering because of the fur and the tail. Love the sock!

I'm actually not sure, :confused: The vet told me what her condition is called, it was a very long word so I don't remember. When she was born though she had hair, as she got older her hair was very brittle. My mom showed one of her friends who used to own yorkies and knows about the breed, pictures of Bella and she said "Oh she's a blue born yorkie". So since she wasn't technically born blue, I'm not sure. Maybe someone on here will know?

Yeah she's all yorkie! Check out my previous post about the fur, and her tail wasn't docked. Once you meet her though you KNOW she's a yorkie! LOL

Bella wants me to tell everyone THANK YOU for the nice comments! She usually gets a lot of questions asked about her when people meet her. I'm showing her your comments and she said they make her feel pretty! :D
