Welcome to YT! Sorry to hear you're having trouble potty training...unfortunately, sometimes yorkies are simply difficult to potty train. It takes a lot of extra time, effort, and patience with these little ones, but I promise you they DO eventually get it. She is still very young to expect her to understand potty training. How long have you had her? Many breeders don't let their puppies go home until 12 weeks... Be consistent-make sure you take her to her pad or outside at least once every 1-1.5 hours. If she does go in the correct place, PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE, and treats! Don't scold her for accidents, unless you catch her in the act-then a firm NO! will do, and bring her to her pad right away. You also might find it helpful to always say "Go Potty" or something similar when you want her to go-eventually you will be able to say the word, and she will go when you ask her to. Best of luck to you! |
