My "designer" baby ... LOL 4 Attachment(s) Since joining YT, I have got a kick out of a seemingly new terminology of mixed breeds now called "designer" breeds. In my day, they were called mutts ... LOL. We believe my "designer" pooch is part Yorkshire Terrier, part Chihuhua and possibly part Brussels Terrier. Just thought I'd share photographs of my little Tika right after being groomed today. If dogs can smile, she was grinning from ear to ear afterwards and seemed so proud of her new hairdo. I'm still open to adopting another rescue Yorkie as a pal for Tika, but for now am spoiling Tika rotten to make up for lost time (she was neglected for the first four years of her life). I'm open to taking an older Yorkie, am able to offer unlimited veterinary care because of my business but cannot afford a large lump sum of money to adopt a dog. It is so interesting to see Tika evolve from a scared, insecure and clingy lost soul into a more confident, happy and independent spirit. It's also a relief for me to be able to go to the bathroom without her right there with me. |
Awww how sweet:) very cute video:) |
I think Tika knows how special she is. With all those designers breeds in her, she must be worth a fortune! Great vid and pics! |
Tika IS a designer...... A ONE OF A KIND!!! It looks like the young lady in the picture is a having a lot of fun with her (daughter?). Keep those pics coming! |
Rescues can turn out to be wonderful pets with some love and extra patience. Chip I think is a Yorhuahua, and Tika's face is very similar to his (he is the blonde in my avatar). He came to us as a rescue, and has turned out to be a little heart breaker wherever he goes. |

Tika's personality is that she is a happy, easy going, loving little sweetheart around people. It took her a while to become adjusted to being around my mother's pug, and she would literally attack him and beat him up the first week she arrived. She is definitely a dominant dog even though she is 1/3 the size of the pug. She loves cats more than life and other small dogs her size. My sister has a tiny, teacup poodle and Tika loved her from the moment she saw her. She seems to have issues with animals much bigger than her (maybe she was hurt by a larger dog). |
What a sweetie you have there! Your wonderful for giving her a second chance for a new life, she looks very happy. Great pictures and video. :) |
I think she is adorable!!! She is very lucky to have you guys!!!! |
Great video. Thanks for sharing and thanks for giving Tika a loving home. |

btw: There is no such thing as "teacup", its a made up term used to make smaller ones more attractive. |
