A Day at the Beach

Hubby and I took Chewy to the beach on Sunday. I took this flip flop toy, and he was obsessed with it. He wanted to play fetch with it the whole time. We would throw it, he would bring it back, then he would start digging at it like crazy and sand would go flying everywhere! Here's a few pics, notice all the sand in his mouth in the first pic!:D :D :D

It looks like you guys had a wonderful time at the beach. Chewey is a very pretty Yorkie. Does he like to play in the water?

Those are adorable pictures of the fur kid and I love that white sand. Makes me want to go live there too! Is it that nice all year long?

I can hardly imagine anyone at the beach now...all our lakes and rivers are froze solid! Gorgeous pics! Chewy is adorable and looks like he had fun. That beautiful blue water...you must have had a great day!

Thanks for the compliment!

He only gets in the water if we are in the water, the sound of the waves crashing scares him a little. We get in then we call him, he wines like he doesn't want to come in, then he gets up the nerve and swims out to us. It's pretty funny to see. He likes playing in the sand much more!:)

Your Chewy & my Buddy look as if they have the exact same coat. They both that bluish/greyish color and lots of curls!!!! I love my Buddy's curls!!!

OH YEAH.....Theres my little Chewy man. What a doll baby he is - too cute. I have missed that little face - thank you for making my morning - hee, hee!!

I am so jealous too, I am on my way so we can join you guys at the beach. LOL!!! :D :D

Oh, the beach looks wonderful. I love St. John's - I have always said I want to move there. I spent one beautiful week renting out one of the largest gorgeous homes there years ago. Truly paradise!

Looks like Chewy had a great time!

I have a question for you, I am flying to Florida for Christmas & hoping to possibly take my furbabies to the beach - I'm wondering how the sand, etc. affects the coat & what do you do a clean up routine after a day at the beach? Do you have a hard time getting all the sand off? What about the salt water?

The weather doesn't vary too much, we just get storms that pass through that bring rain and wind. Hurricane season is over, but we had tropical storm Olga that brought a lot of rain last week.

They do have similiar coloring. Buddy is adorable!!!:)

I see you're from Iowa! I moved from Des Moines to St. John four years ago!:)

The sand really gets in Chewy's coat. I just wait until we get home, then give him a normal bath. He's good as new after his bath, except for a little stubborn sand in the corner of his eyes. Gently,I take some tissue and get that out. Have fun in Florida, and I hope you make it back to St. John someday!!!:)

ok 1st off I am soooo jealous!!! That last pic with the water is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Looks like a Corona pic, lol! And do I love my Corona! :)
Looks like such a fun time to have by all. You are very lucky to live somewhere so beautiful! Mind you this is coming from the boring old Ohio girl, lol!

Des Moines gal makes good on St. John's - Yeah!! How did you decide to move there? The cost of living there is so scary to me - but the views, the weather, the great shops only a ferry ride away. Was it hard to get used to driving on the other side of the road?
