Our 4th of July
 

Linus had such a great 4th! We went to a parade early in the morning, and it had just rained so he decided to play in the rain puddles to make himself look like an absolute mess. After that, we went to a friend's house and he went swimming for the first time with mommy and daddy. He did so well! He's a natural swimmer. We would stand about 4 feet away from each other, and Linus would swim back and forth. Then he got muddy from running in the grass while wet but oh, well!

Then we took him to the carnival. Everyone who saw him of course wanted to play. And everyone who saw him asked me "Is that a miniature yorkie" or "is that a teacup yorkie". It got to the point where if I saw someone who wanted to talk to me I would walk away before they said anything because I was about to scream! Someone had the audacity to tell me that their chi was cuter because she wasn't so hairy and that I should shave him because he looked like a gerbil!

Then someone was talking to me and kept calling him a she. When I corrected them they were telling me that I was a horrible owner because I had a bow in my boy's hair. I about smacked her. She said someone should take him away because boy's shouldn't wear bows. I called her a few choice words and walked away.

Then I was in the backstage area before the concert (I met Kenny Rogers) and this lady walked up to me and said I was mistreating Linus because he was asleep in my arms. She said that he looked like he was dying (he was just alseep and closely monitored...he hadn't had a nap all day except in the car) and she tried to take him from me again! He had drank a ton of water about 5 minutes before she had walked up and had not only eaten a lot that day, but had also had 3 doses of nutrical because I was worried about the heat taking too much out of him. Just before she had said this she told me she had 3 shelties that stay outside all of the time. In OKLAHOMA!!!! I about strangled this womun by the end of it, but somehow kept my composure.

The nerve of some people never ceases to amaze me!

Sounds like despite all the rude remarks, Linus had a great time and sounds like he loved the water!

Oh...and shame on you for holding a sleeping puppy in your arms. Just kidding! Since when would holding a sleeping puppy be considered mistreatment? She's the one mistreating dogs...not you!

omg she tried to take poor little linus away fromv you? you should of hit her and been like back off my dog!! i still cant belive the nerve of some people and for the lady that said you should shave linus shes just jealouse because your dog is cuter than all of hers! and boys have just the same right to wear bows like girls! people are to critical. and as for the second lady who tried to take linus away that b#*@h o i just wanna smack her when is it wrong to hold a sleeping dog in ur arms!oOoOo i just wanna hit them both and tell them treat their dogs better! but through it all im glad u guys had a happy fourth

Linus is so cute. Sounds like you and Linus both had fun, except for "the lady." :p

Give me a 100 yorkies before 100 people - I'd choose the yorkies EVERY time - what on earth is wrong with people that they can just say anything they want - since when is a sleeping dog a dying dog ? She sounded NUTS ! Man - I would have had a very hard time with that one - You did good dealing with that kind of ignorance.

on the upside - MUD playing is the best ! Chanel and Cheri love a boy who can get good and dirty and wear bows !

We had a great 4th also. We had Wynstn with his 4th of July atire on, people also think my dogs are girls and now i shut them up by saying no he is dressed in drag! (I hope I am not offending anyone, not meant to). But it usually shuts them up.
