That is a great idea. Sophie made her own gate just like that except the hole wasn't as neat. I used to put a gate up for the baby I sit for and she hated it. I was a little annoyed at first but it actually worked out great.

Bonnie's mom, that is exactly what I was thinking. My first thought when I saw that was "why didn't I think of that?" Rusty is thinking "this may slow me down, but it won't stop me. I'll get to the food....bbbbrrrrrraaaaaahhhhhhaaaahhhhhhhhhaaaaaah hhhhhaaaaaa"

Hahahaha. Wait until he figures out that if he jumps up on it a bit and pulls back the trash can moves and he's in.. Watch out labs are smart. Great idea though. I will remember that for the future.
