United Against Puppy Mills is holding a fundraising event at Long's Park in Lancaster on April 26, 2008 from 10AM - 2 PM. To Participate you need to raise pledges, with the minimum of $25.00. More details in the following links.

Long's Park is only 15 minutes away from my house. Does that mean that you can't attend unless you have pledge's or pledge $25.00?:icon5: It's for a very good cause though.

That's what it sounds like, but I'm not sure.

I've all ready marked the date on my calendar. If the weather is nice I am definitely going. Hopefully more YT members in the are are able to go and we can have a mini-meetup. Afterwards I may stop by the outlets:D

Yeah, can't forget the outlets:D Do they let dogs in any of the stores there?

I guess it depends on each store, and if you have them in a carrier, which doesn't work for me since my boys are too big for a carrier. But I allways take my boys into the Coach outlet, and of course they are wearing their Coach collars accompanied with their Coach leashes so they don't seem to mind them being in there. :D

Once we stopped by the offices of one of them (The Rockvale ones, I believe... the one that has Coach, Jcrew, and Polo) and asked if Britney and Brooklyn could walk around outside and we were told yes. We didn't take that in that many stores.. only ones we were invited into.

Tanger is the side with the Coach, the only good stores on the Rockvale side is Pottery Barn and Sony.

I really think I am going to go to that. :) I hate to ask people for money, the way the economy is, even though it's for a great cause. So I'll just pay the $25 pledge. Will have to try and see how we all can meet-up that day. :)

You too! :D We rarely take Rudy for a walk since we have part of our yard fenced in. Maybe Diddy & Rudy are long lost relatives somehow. :grin2:

I'm in Iowa - wish we had a walk-a-thon like this one. Is this an annual event? Do you know how long it has been going on? Maybe something I could help start here. Although we seem to have a walk for everything here

I think I attended this event a few years ago with Ginger. (LOL, I know I attended an event in Long's Park to raise puppymill awareness, just don't remember anything about pledges). On THAT day I was the only one there with a yorkie and it got a little lonely. We did, however, have a lovely walk.

I'd enjoy getting to meet some fellow yt members. You know, members of a disney site all stick lime green mickey's (from home depot) to their clothing/backpacks, etc. so that they can pick each other out at Disney. I'm sure WE can be at least that creative.

I'm going to go and bring Rudy along. :) Don't know yet if my hubby will be able to go. The plummer might be @ our house. If the plummer doesn't come, than my hubby will be there also and we will have Rudy & Lucky with us. :)

We've got to figure out a way to meet each other. I can PM my cell phone # to whoever is going to go.

I too hope the weather cooperates. :sun:

My car is not doing so well, so I'm not sure if it will be able to make the trip. If I can get there I will have two teapots. Harley will probably be barking like crazy, and Chip will probably be growling at a large dog. :D

Oh, I hope you can come. :) I can understand car problems. The important thing is for you and the furbabies to be safe. If you do come, sounds like Harley and my Rudy will be barking up a storm together. :D

That's probably a good idea. Route 30 out by the outlets gets so....much traffic on it.
