i really dont know how to start or waht to say... it hurts my heart sooo bad to even begin...
my baby and i were at my 14 year old cousins birthday party tonight and rex was a playfull boy he was trying to play with the german shepard next door.... we he didnt want to play i heard his barking so i ran over to grab him then i saw the rex in the mouth of the GS and then i saw him in two piece on teh ground... ive lost alot of close people to me but none of there deaths have hurts this bad... he always cuddled with me at night.. and made little noises whenever i rolled over... we were supposed to go to alaska tomorrow to supprise my parents and for him to play with there doxie... i now i have to unpack his bag... and get to bed if i can get any sleep.. its going to be a cold night - rip my baby...

I am sooo sorry what a nightmare,what did the owners of the shepherd do, my sister gets so mad at me when she brings over her pit bull bruiser over,, i always pick up my babies and put them in a locked room for this very reason, they might be playing but some times i think they think our babies are stuffed toys please if you need to talk im here pm me and i will give you my number.

I am so sorry for your loss. This is one of the reasons I don't sell to people with big dogs if I know it. No matter how sweet the big dogs are, they are just too strong and powerful for our little guys.

How horrid for you, I can't imagine the pain you are in, its hard enough to lose them, but to lose them like that is too much. I am praying for you. I am so sorry.

thank you all so much for your support.. its getting easier im trying to just pretend it didnt happen.. i called the breeder i bought him from and rex's mother is due with a little next tuesday which is also my boyfriends birthday.. the only was i believe for me to heal is to get another one.. what other techniques have you all used for healing? <3 love and prayers sent - kimber

I think it's a good idea for you to get another one, if you're ready. I lost my little girl 2 1/2 weeks ago, and it still hurts. I am awaiting another puppy who will be born in a couple weeks. I don't know of any other way to heal, I guess it just takes time. I just try to remember the happier memories.

SO so sorry to hear this. My heart just aches for you. :(

You can never replace your boy, but getting a new baby gives you somewhere to put all that love you want to give him -- and can't. And it helps fill the hole in your heart.

I think these little guys -- ones gotten to nurse a broken heart -- are even more special. They have a "mission" from Day One and they get all this extra love, making them that much more capable of spreading the joy.:)
