My little girl passed away
 
My heart breaks as my dear sweet Gidget died this weekend. Gidget had a very difficult beginning and no one thought she would ever live, but she proved everyone wrong. She struggled so much for the first few months of her brief life, then she miraculously got better. Gidget was 8 months old and as healthy as can be, when an accident happened out of nowhere. She was sitting outside with me on our swing along with one of our other dogs. Sparky saw a squirrel and bolted and took Gidget right off the swing with him. It happened so fast and I was right there and couldn't stop it. It was instant and I feel so responsible. Gidget only weighed 2lbs so even an 18 inch drop was more than her little body could handle. So many things keep running through my mind. She was right next to me. Why couldn't I have stopped this. I love her so much and I can't believe she is no longer with me. Gidget was so precious and she will never be forgotten. I love you my sweet girl.:(

What a horrible accident. I'm so sorry for your loss. It is heartbreaking when we lose something so dear to us.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sometimes things happen so fast, there is no possible way to stop them. Don't blame yourself. Gidget had 8 months of being loved by a very special Mommy. She will always be smiling down at you from the her little perch at the Bridge. Rest Peacefully precious baby girl.

Thank you all so much for your kind words. Gidget will never be forgotten and will forever be loved. She was more special than any words can describe. I know we love our little ones so much, but you don't truly know until you lose them. Hold tight to your babies and let them kiss you and kiss you.

Amy - I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I remember what a tough several months Gidget (and you) went through, it is even more terrible to have gotten her healthy and then lose her. There is a reason Gidget came into your life, even for a short time. I hope memories of little Gidget will eventually bring a smile to your face again.

I'm so sorry for you loss...my thoughts and prayers are with you.

It wasn't long ago that I lost my little baby Kosmo, March 2, 2007 to be exact, I know what you are going through. Everybody says time will mend the wound...I'm still waiting.

Oh my! Im sooooo sorry for your loss! Sounds like there was nothing you could do and this was just a tragic accident. How very sad for you though. My thoughts are with you. RIP little Gidget angel

They hold such a special place in our hearts as we do theirs - PLEASE don't blame yourself - I'm sure you were great with her and all your other babies - Freak accidents are God's way of saying it's time to come home.

I still miss her so much. I have pictures of her out everwhere right now. My daughter is also having an extremely hard time with Gidget\'s death. She keeps telling me that she is our baby and this shouldn\'t have happened. I\'m not sure what to say because I agree with her completely. I\'ve been trying to keep busy so I don\'t just sit and cry all the time. I know everyday it will get a little easier, but right now I just miss her so very much. Everyone whe has sent their thoughts and prayers I thank you. It is all of your kind words that really help get people through these tragic losses.
