Oh Brenda, We are so sorry. You were blessed to have him and he was blessed to have you. It was truly a wonderful gift for Simon to pass in the loving comfort of your arms. It had to be the hardest thing that you've ever done but just know it was the kindest thing you could have done for him. What more can we ask for in this life?

Brenda, I am so sorry for your loss. I really thought he was starting to get better. It is never easy losing them, it hurts so bad. Simon is now pain free and in heaven where he will stay until one day you are reunited with him.

Aww, I just saw this. I know that you were doing everything you could for Simon, he knew how you felt and it's amazing that you were able to be there for him when his time came. We're here if you need to "talk" about Simon. I know it hurts, but time will help ease the pain. Hugs and prayers.

I went back and read your original post. He was just beautiful and this is very painful for you. Give yourself lots of time to grieve because it is not instant...it takes weeks and months to walk through the tears. Fifteen years is a wonderful time to have shared your life with such a sweet animal.

Thank you. I'm struggling. But I'm trying to keep busy. I'm posting tons of pictures here on YT (I think I've posted about 6 new threads so far...) trying to keep my mind busy.

I feel guilty if for 1 minute I'm feeling happy. I put a flower pot where he is buried and go out there everyday to water it and I talk to him. Here conme the tears again :(

It's just amazing to me that he held on until you came home. Just remember, It was a wonderful thing for him to see you once more.....

He either had a stroke or a possible heartattack in my arms :( I've never experiencd anything like that. One minute he was going potty the next......

I'm greatful I was there with him, and on the other hand it hurt so bad!

Brenda, I missed this thread, I am so very sorry for your loss. You will cherish the fact that you were part of the last chapter in Simon's life as time goes on. How wonderful it was to be able to help comfort and ease your dear old friend into a place free of pain. I am sure he is at the Rainbow Bridge frolicking with my LacieBug....

girl - I just now saw this. I had a fantastic cat named Midnight and remember the raw pain of him passing.....I brought him home with me (in my sons sleeping bag cover) and stayed up all night long crying and talking to him over a beer....or 2..or 3....

I ended up having to call my ex husband to help me out because by morning I had no idea what I was going to do with him and wanted him buried at my moms.....It was the longest 12 hours of my life I think ...and while he's not with me - my memories of him are very special.

OMG Brenda I'm so soo sorry. I know with my words I can't bring your Simon back but I just want you to know that I will be praying for you and your story brought tears to my eyes. It just makes me think that you never know when you will lose your babies, and I just looked at Teddy sleeping so peacefully and couldn't imagine him lifeless like that....I feel your pain. I'm so sorry :(

I have never held anything dead or had anything pass in my arms. It was very dramatic for me. I'm still dealing with it, although don't have to many people to talk to (except here:)) about it, cuz they just don't understand.

My heartfelt sympathy to you Breny. You'll have all those memories of Simon to bring back a smile to your face. He knows that you loved him and cared so deeply for him...someday, you'll understand why God took him from you...maybe it was so he wouldn't endure any more pain. Bless his loving little heart...may he finally rest in peace. Find comfort in your memories, he wouldn't want you to be sad...and he will forever be in your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. You are right that people who don't have special pets like we do don't understand how much we love them and how much it hurts when something happens to them. People who never open their homes and hearts to special little animals never understand how much more love they have in their hearts to give. I know that you are hurting right now but you know that you have truly been blessed to have had Simon in your life and you are a better person because of him. We are here for you whenever you want to talk about him.

I am in tears after reading your post. I really do feel your pain. It almost felt like I lost my little girl, and THAT was a very scary and devasting moment. I can just imagine how you feel. Truly sorry for your loss. Hope you feel better and get stronger soon. :lovewings
