| My Cookie is Gone My Cookie was a puppy mill rescue and I only had her for a short time. But she was the best addition to our family! She lost an arugment over a Kong with our bigger dog and although not hurt bad, I took her to the ER. The vet said this happens all the time over a toy, food or whatever the bigger dog wants. Her eye was bulging out of the socket and was pushed back in and stitched up for safekeeping. There were no other injuries and she didn't lose her sight either. Two days later I took her and her meds to our regular vet who gave her a shot to stop the nausea and a high-vitamin paste to rub on her mouth, till she felt like eating again. She seemed to be getting better and spent her days on her lambs wool bed. I went out to get groceries and when I returned she was gone! I am still broken hearted and can't understand why after 2 vets saw her, she passed away. She was 8yrs old and it could be that because she came from a puppy mill and lost the fight, all this could have been too much for her. I've kept all her blankets, toys, bed, etc. And I still miss her very much. Every time I see a Yorkie I think of Cookie and I can't seem to get past this point. I'd like to have another one, and I'd like to get a rescue but I'm hesitant for obvious reasons. I have time and I can wait. Just like the first time, an opportunity will present itself. |

| I think you should get a behavorist in to help with the other dog before bringing another one it to possible have the same fate. I'm so sorry you lost your baby, but please, don't bring another one in just yet, not until the other dog's problems has been solved. That dog should have NEVER been that aggressive! |

| So sorry to hear that Cookie died and had such a serious injury. Never having more than one Yorkie, I was always over protective of Sophie around bigger dogs because she only weighed 5 lbs. Personally, I would follow Yorkiedaze's advice. Take care and let us now how you are feeling in the days ahead.

| May she rest in peace... I hope you can take a little comfort in the fact that she knew love during time with you, something she would not have had in a puppy mill. |

| I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the short time she had with you must have made her so happy. She finally knew someone really loved her. God bless and rest peacefully, Little Cookie.
