A Good Quote To Remember When my dog died, one of my friends said the sweetest thing, and I thought I would share it with everyone, because I'm sure it would ease you as much as it eased how I felt. Your dog passed because God wanted a new companion, and thought yours was the perfect one. So I hope that helps all of you grieving over your loss. |
That is a beautiful quote! Thank you SO much for sharing it! :D |
That is a good quote! |
I hate to toot my own horn...but I kind of think that this should be stickied at the top...it's something that everyone that loses a family member (furbaby or human) would benefit to read. |
That is a wonderful quote it really helps those who have lost a companion. |
This made me cry! |
After tonites sad news of the loss of 3 of our YT furbabies I think this thread should be on top. I know this 3 babies are in rainbow bridge keeping God company. |
What a beautiful quote! I agree it should be on the top! |
This is a great quote. We know Almighty God is a yorkie person. ;) ....and I will be having some "yorkie talk" with God before I go to bed tonight as I pray for all the hurting families right now. |

My parents yorkie, Bailey, died about a year ago. I was very upset, they had that dog since I was in high school and still lived at home. My 4 year old sister told me that Bailey was with Jesus because he needs puppies to play with too. It was so sweet! |

I lost my golden retriever in the last two weeks, and this is making me teary eyed! My family just lost our 13 year old golden retriever, im in college and live at home but she was "my dog" anyone who owns a dog who doesnt leave there side knows what i mean, i had three dogs and for some reason the oldest, minnie was always my protector. i have another male golden and a yorkie female, and they are both a mess since her death. I love quotes and have a journal full of them, and on the day we got ours cremated my mom gave me a journal and told me to write my favorite dog quotes in it, and this is definitley one of them. Thank you! |
Yes, God must definitly love Yorkies!!! |
Dog On Loan "I'll lend you for a little time, a dog of mine God said. For you to love while she lives and mourn when she is dead. The years they may be six or ten or even as few as three. But will you, 'til I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and shall her stay be brief. You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay, since all from Earth return, But there are lessons taught down there I want this dog to learn. I've looked the wide world over, in my search for masters true, And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have selected you. Now will you give her your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate me when I come to call to take her back again? We answered in sincerity, Dear Lord, Thy will be done. For all the joy this dog shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter her with tenderness, and love her while we may, And for the happiness we will know, we'll ever grateful stay. But shall the angels call for her much sooner than we planned, We'll know the bitter grief that comes and try to understand." I recall it over and over in my mind, not being able to pray once for her to stay cause I knew it was God's time to call her to be back with him. I am going to print this most beautiful poem off and frame it and place it by the side of her urn. Understand, yes I do, but accepting it is so hard to do. I miss our Cassie so much, oh how I wish so many times to be able to hold her and tell her once again how much she is loved, all I can say to others is PLEASE TELL YOUR PRECIOUS YORKIE HOW MUCH IT IS LOVED time has a way of slipping by so quickly, I am so thankful for all the many many times I told ours how much we loved her, and I now still tell her, and somehow I feel God allows her to look down and see and feel my love for her. Thank you God for bringing her into her life and even though we had to give her back to you, much to soon for us, we only wish we could have lived our lives out with her.
