I can only imagine how horrible you must feel. there are no words to express how sorry I feel for you. It is never easy to loose one, and it has to be much harder when you feel responsible. May the Lord give you the strenght that you need to get through this. We lost our yorkie in January, and we knew immediately that we had to have another one. Just the looking helped me through the empty hours. The one you lost will always have a piece of your heart and no other dog of any breed will replace it. We have lost two yorkies and we remember and talk about the differences. We don't compare, we expect them to have different personalities. Each one gives us special memories. A new puppy will not take the place of the one you lost, but it will help to fill the empty spaces in your day. The hole in your heart will always be there until the day when you meet again. Everyone deals with their pain in a different way, I knew I needed another one to help me get through. I didn't expect a new one to replace the old. I embrace her differences as I fondly remember the ones that are gone. And now we have two. May God Bless you and your family. |
I am so sorry for your loss. Please don't feel guilty. Unfortunately, accidents happen.:( |
It's so hard losing a Yorkie and I can imagine in your situation the tragedy is doubled. I am so sorry for your loss, but accidents unfortunately do happen. I hope you will get another Yorkie soon to make you smile again. |

I am also so sorry for your loss. I know the pain very well, and it never gets easy. They are like little humans to us and we just have to believe that what God hands us we can handle. You will find another little friend to take in soon. Karen |

A similar accident happened with my family, my step-dad accidentally ran over our puppy who was outside with his Mommy at the time a few years back. It was very heartbreaking, you and your daughter are in my thoughts. :lovewings |

'You'll get over it...' It's the clichés that cause the trouble. To lose someone you love is to alter your life forever. You don't get over it because 'IT' is the furbaby you loved. The pain stops, there are new furbabies, but the gap never closes. How could it? The particularities of someone who mattered enough to grieve over is not erased by anyone or anything but death. This hole in your heart is in the shape of your furbaby and no one else can fit. Why would you want them to?” with condolences, Debbie |
When I lost my 7 year old Reggie eight days after giving birth to 6 pups, I was so devastated but had to find strength somewhere because I had to raise her 5 baby girls. The little boy died the day before Reggie. I found that writing about Reggie, her life and her miracle girls helped me to move on and the support I found here was heaven sent. The girls are now 6 months old. We kept Love and Star with Faith, Hope and Charity now living here with YT members. August 31st my 13 year old granddaughter's yorkie, Blitzen ran away while with my son-in-law. We searched the entire Labor Day weekend for him but there has been not reports of him even with fliers and ads in the newspaper with reward offered. It's difficult not knowing what happened to him but we pray someone took him and is giving him a good, loving home. Last week I couldn't take their sadness anymore and gave them one of our pups that was 8 weeks old. You would have thought I gave my son-in-law a million dollars. Little Dusty has brought great joy to their home and then I also gave them a little girl, Kira. Now they have two and want more. Don't wait too long to find another furbaby to fill the void in your lives. Know our hearts and prayers are with you and your daughter. Only time will heal the sorrow and hurt. In the meantime, look for another furbaby to keep you focused on the future. Not as a replacement but as a NEW member of your family. May God bless you. |
I ran over my precious Libby about 8 years ago...it was so devistating and I was so full of guilt..even thinking about it now makes me sick. I had to remind myself it was just an accident and I thank god she went quickly..I feel your pain and loss...hugs.. Dawn |

God allowed this for some reason that only He knows, and i think (my personal opinion) that there is another baby waiting for her new mommy.:rainbow: |

My precious Lillie came into my life in July and it has been such a blessing. You will know when the time is right to get a new baby, I know it sure helped heal all the pain I had, she didnt take Kloeys place, no one or nothing could have, but it helped the heart. I sure wish you the best of luck, were here for you, so dont hesitate to talk. Hugs to you and your family |
Dear Rhonda, I am so sorry for you loss. These babies are so very special to us and take a special place in our hearts that nothing else can fill. You have a big heart I can tell and there is room in there for another baby right next to that first special spot. I hope you find comfort here.:) |
I am so sorry for your loss, please don't beat yourself up for it, these things can happen. You are in our thoughts at this difficult time |
