You are in my heart today, Ernie was one of the lucky ones like most of ours here on YT that had a wonderful life filled with love. That doesn't take away the pain though, you both are in my prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss , you and your wife and family cared so much and loved him so dearly that it is very hard to let him go , you dd a wonderful job looking after him and he is at peace now and he will always be in your heart.

I am so sorry for your loss of Earnie.He had a wonderful full and cared for life.I am in tears reading this because it brings so many memories back when I cared for my dear Keally. Earnie knew he had a wonderful life with you and now he can run free with my Keally til we meet our babies again.R.I.P. Earnie.Susan

I can tell that you loved your beautiful baby so much and I know your whole family will miss him tremendously. It is obvious from reading your story that he was given the best care possible for as long as could be. As hard as it is on us there comes a time when we are forced to be the advocate for our precious babies because their quality of life is not what we would want for them. I've been there with 4 of my precious senior yorkies and I know how guilty it can make you feel. Please don't feel guilty. You gave Ernie your most unselfish gift - to be free of pain and sickness and he knows how much he was loved. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in Peace sweet baby Ernie.

Your tribute to Ernie and your wife is very beautiful. When my Ashley was sixteen she experienced similar cognitive dysfunction. She needed 24 hour care, but we wouldn't have given up one moment that we cared for her. She passed away in my arms at sixteen years eleven months. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Your love of Ernie for Ernie is palpable, and he will live forever in your hearts.

Praying that you and your family find peace. Ernie's story really touched my heart. You were very blessed to have him in your family for so long and you my friend are such a wonderful person for recognizing your wife and all she did for your sweet boy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Your story brought me to tears as my little yorkie is sick right now and spending 4-6 days in the animal hospital. I can't imagine losing her, so I know how difficult it must have been for you. I'm glad Ernie had such a long, happy life. RIP Ernie.

I am in tears as I just finished reading your wonderful tribute to Ernie and to your loving family. I feel sorry for people who have never experienced that strong bond as they will never understand the joy and solace these sweet babies bring into out lives. My deepest sympathies to your family on their great loss. God bless the newest Yorkie Angel Ernie. He will have some wonderful company on the other side as he waits for you. I love your photo of your handsome and sweet boy.

Such a beautiful story about a great little pup. RIP Ernie. And wow, what an amazing wife you have! Just cry when you need to, as you surely will losing such a great friend in Ernie. It has to hurt this much to lose someone like Ernie who touches you so.
