I have no words....just tears. Take delight where you can in your memories of Meika and know that you have lots of supporters to call upon.

Thank you all for your heartfelt support. It means a lot to me.

It all happened so fast I still can't believe it. When I get through this initial shock I will share more. Right now I'm trying to gather the strength to drive my baby Meika to the other side of the island to be cremated. I can barely see through the tears, but need to do this and come home and grieve with my other 3 fur girls who are so confused.

Please don't drive until you feel it is safe, Sandy. The last thing we need here is a second tragedy. :(

Oh Sandy, I am so very sorry for your loss. It's so very hard when it's totally unexpected and my heart aches for you.

I cried when I read this, and I\'m so very sorry. It Is beyond heartbreaking when you pour your heart into caring for your precious wee one, and you experience those roller coaster emotions when he/she gets better, then worse. Just as you were feeling hope, this tragically happened. I understand and really care.

You have been such a cheerful and warm presence on YorkieTalk, always offering words of encouragement. On many occasions you have really touched my heart. I share your grief for your baby girl. If there is anything at all I can do to help, please let me know.

I am logging out of YT for today and just can\'t get Meika and Sandy off my mind. My heart is very heavy. Such a huge loss.

You poor thing. I don\'t know if you should be driving right now and probably need to be lying down, taking care of yourself. I\'ve been where you are before and suddenly losing one of your precious babies is just one of the most horrible times in life. The pain of losing someone you love so dearly and worked so hard to keep well and safe and protected is devastating and requires deep grieving time, rest, talking about it when you feel the need and understanding support in order to get past the tragedy of it. Don\'t try to do too much right now and just grieve your baby. I wish I could take this pain away from you somehow, Sandy.
