oh what a perfect way to honor Buster, I love the name Oliver, how fitting, he is cutie. I hope you remain a member and even though he is not yorkie I know I am not alone in saying we would love to see more of Oliver as he comes out of his shell. Thank you so much for sharing this and for taking him in. |
Oliver is beautiful and quite unique: I don't think I have ever seen a chihuahua with such an awesome coat. I second DBlain's seniments about hoping you post lots more photos of Oliver! Chihuahuas are such awesome dogs. |
Oliver is adorable! I hope he brings you comfort and joy! |
Thanks for sharing your heartbreaking story. Condolences to you and your family on this tragic loss. I hope in time that you will be able to forgive yourself. especially since it wasn't done with bad intent. We humans are sooo hard on ourselves sometimes!! Congratulations on your new joy!!! What a darling pic. Soooo glad that you opened your broken heart to giving another dog a chance of joining your lovely family. Oliver... what a lovely and sweet name!! With time, and the love that you have, Oliver will surely come out of his shell and you will look back and chuckle how he 'used' to be. Sending positive thoughts your way from Canada!!!!:):):):):) |
Thanks so much for your support- you are all so sweet! Oliver is coming out of his shell slowly, but we are enjoying him so much. He is so easy-going, smart and eager to please. I will definitely remain a member here and I will share some "Oliver Tales" whenever I can. Buster was such a special member of our family, he could never be replaced in our hearts. I'll be sure to post when we get another Yorkie- I don't think I could stand to be without one. Once you go Yorkie, you never go back! ;) |
dog Tears for you as I read your post. We just cannot understand life as it happens. Accidents happen and there is nothing we can do to change things. That is when I just cry to the Lord to give me strength to accept and go on. I believe He calls each little creature by name and calls them back home to Him, their Creator. He wants him back just like He will call our name someday and we will leave this place to go to our real home Heaven. It comforts me to know He, Jesus is in control of all of life. I will surround you with prayer and want you to know it was not your fault. |

I am so sorry about your losing Buster. It was an accident. I am happy to see your new little guy Oliver. He is darling. So happy that you saved his life. Looking forward to seeing more pics of him and hearing updates on how he is doing. |
I am wondering how you are doing today? I just lost Jasper 5 days ago so I understand what you are going through. I hope you decide to get another Yorkie one day. I know it has been just awful to lose a doggie you love so much, but think of all the joy you've had and would of missed had you never had him. Love is risky, but so worth it. I am taking time to grieve and as soon as I save up for another one, I am jumping in feet first. |

I'm so sorry to hear you lost Jasper. It hurts so badly, but like you said, the love is worth the pain many many times over. |
I too am very very sorry for your loss, but good for you for jumping back in with another fur baby to warm your heart. It took me 15 years to give finally put away the fear of losing another precious fur baby, but I did . And I recommend to anyone out there if you have ever lost and are reluctant to try again.....just DO IT. My beautiful little Lacey was 11 when after all the hand feeding she became too weak to go on, I had to have her put down. All of you that had to do this know how hard that is. My vet was on vacation when her time came and I was desperate to not let her suffer and I insisted I hold her in my arms for her to dye.i was her human and she my baby. He couldn't get a vein she was so tiny. I didn't see it coming...he stabbed her in the heart and injected her. I can't tell you how traumatized I was............for 15 years...I cry now writing , but if it helps someone to realize there are other fur babies out there needing you that want to make you happy . And they sure do .....I remember thinking when she was alive....they bring so much love and laughter in your home......is why I now have my little Zoey.....she was meant for me..and the time had finally come..so just go do it....get another one.dont wait as long as I, cause once you have an animal to love in your life there will come a day it will happen again. |
