She is not a yorkie but still......

One day I came out of my house to see a tiny tiny black and white kitten on my porch. I knew someone dumped her off on me. She was only a few weeks old. DH was continually saying no you can't keep her. So, I promised to find her a new home once she was old enough to get fixed. Well, I did find her a new home. With me. I named her Snuggles because she was such a sweet little girl.

On Sunday, October 14th, Snuggles went to Rainbow Bridge to join her other brother, Shadow, who we also lost this year. :(:( Snuggles was 18 years old. I think she went peacefully in the night. She was in her bed all curled up like she went when she was asleep.

I know some people think she was only a cat but I had her a really long time. I will miss her terribly. I am trying to work up the courage to put away her stuff. Just can\'t do it right now. I am too heart broke. :(:(

RIP Snuggles. You will forever be remembered.

You lost a loving member of your family who will always remain in your heart. I know how much it hurts and how much you miss Snuggles. I am so very sorry for your loss of your beautiful girl. I am heartbroken for you.

Bless your poor broken heart...you have lost a precious family member! It would appear she passed quietly and peacefully from her dreams right over to Rainbow Bridge....what a wonderful way to go! And the fact she was 18 years old is testamony to the wonderful, caring, healthy life she had enjoyed, provided by you, her loving family. Words dont really help sooth the pain you are having now...but you did a fine job with this precious little abandoned kitten, and she is appreciative and thankful, and she waits for you to pick her up at Rainbow Bridge.

Thank you so much for these kind words. My DH keeps telling me I gave her a good life. But I am still just so sad. Can't seem to dry the tears. He has wrapped her and put her in a wood box. She is being buried next to Shadow. I know she will be waiting at Rainbow Bridge with our other pets that we have lost.

Rhonda I am so sorry about Miss Snuggles. It will take time to heal your heart, she was a part of your family for a very long time. I know exactly how you feel, we lost Max our 17 year old kitty this year and Smoke our 14 year old Australian Shepherd. RIP Snuggles and keep Shadow out of trouble up at the Bridge. You will surely be missed little girl.

Rhonda, I'm so sorry you lost Snuggles. Her name was so cute. I know she was very lucky to have found a home with you. RIP Snuggles.:(

RIP Snuggles. What pretty markings I love her black mask. We guardians know there is no such thing as just a pet. As Lisa said they are our family members and their passing leaves a whole in our hearts. My condolences on your loss.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Snuggles. He sure was dumped on the right doorstop 18 years ago. He was very handsome. Each one that leaves us takes a piece of out hearts. Hugs

What a pretty kitty. She was not "only a cat"...she was a beautiful kitty and a member of your family. I am so sorry for your loss, Rhonda.

Thanks everyone. I just cleaned up her stuff. So I'm bawling again. :(. DH buried her under the big oak tree. He felt that's where she would want to be. I guess this has been hard because she wasn't sick or anything. She just went. I'm glad she wasn't sick but I guess I just wasn't prepared for her to go. I'm just glad it was peaceful. She was such a sweet girl. She deserved to go peacefully.

Oh, I'm sorry to read about losing Snuggles. She was beautiful and I know she brought so much to your life and will be mightily missed forever. R.I.P, pretty Snuggles, and may you enjoy your great kitty eternal rewards you earned so well here on earth.

Rhonda. I am so sorry for your loss. She is not just a cat. She is family! Snuggles was a beautiful cat that you took in and cared for her. She lived a very long life because of you. And she was thankful that you did. It is so had to say good bye. But you will see them both again. Lots of hugs

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Snuggles. It is so hard to lose those we love and her being a cat, makes it no less difficult. I am so sorry you lost your precious Snuggles. She wasn\'t just a cat.......she was a member of your family, your little girl. I know how much your loss hurts. She was a lucky little kitten to have wound up on your doorstep 18 years ago. You gave her love and care when she needed it and she thanked you for that by devoting herself to you all those years. There is no hurry to put her things away. You will know when the time is right. Again, I am so sorry.:(

oh Rhonda I am so sorry to hear this, 18 years is a long time to have a pet no wonder you are heartbroken. He sure did know the right doorstep to wind up on, what a lot of great years you had together. Snuggles very much reminds me of
Chase the cat my DH had when we met, she had a lot of the same markings but was a very deep brown she to lived a very long life as well, I know it was hard on us when she passed. Take comfort in all the good times together and that she went peacefully in her sleep, and as someone said probably while she was dreaming of happy kitty times
