Your heart is broken, so I am sending you a few gentle hugs.... |
My heart goes out to you and prayers. It was a blessing that she had you, that she was loved, I am glad her last few days were with you. Hugs |
How are you holding up today? You've been on my mind **hugs*** |
I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will cherish the memories you had of her, even if it was a short time. Life is so unpredictable. Hugs. |
I am so sorry for your loss. RIP sweet Lily. |
Just checking in on you. Hang in there. We are all here for you. Today Im thanking God that Sweet lil Lily had you to love her if only for a few days. Had you to prove not all people are bad. I know your hurting. Lily passed knowing she was loved by you and not alone. She felt that. ((hugs)) |
I am so sorry for the loss of Lily. R.I.P. Lily |
Thanks everyone, I love you all, and appreciate your support. I am still just trying to come up for air - just got word earlier this week that my Grandpa has slipped into a coma, and so will be gone any day now, he's battled Parkinson's for so long, his poor weak body just can't continue on. Missing my Yorkie angels terribly - especially my Benji, he was such a part d me! |
I am so sorry for your loss. It is hard I know to lose 2 so close. I lost 2 of my poms this month....1 very unexpected & the other I had a yr longer than expected....Again I am so sorry |
I am sad for you. Yorkies are family to all of us dog lovers. There is a wonderful book written mainly for children who have lost their dog. It is called Dog Heaven by Cynthia Rylant. I love this book and you can put your little dog's name in the clouds. It is comforting to read this book. I have a little table that has dog things on it. My favorite saying "All you need is love and a dog" and pictures of my dogs are on this table. Get this book, it will become a treasure. Love and Prayers for Comfort, Sandy |
I know how you are feeling. Sunday I took an 8 hour drive to rescue a little senior boy from a high kill shelter, he was due to be PTS. I had him home 2 days when we had to rush him to the hospital with what they thought might be a blockage, thankfully it turns out it was not and after 2 days of fluids and meds he got to come home. Still very sick but home. He is so very underweight, he is a skeleton with fur. Supposed to be 6.5 pounds approx, he sadly is only 4.6. We think he is between 13-15. He was severly neglected and horribly abused. The first thing my vet asked was "how is this dog still alive?" He still needs a dental and neuter but we are going to get some weight on him and get him healty first, hopefully he can get thru this too So very sorry for your loss |
Bless her sweet heart, I'm so very sorry. RIP sweet girl, you were so love and greatly miissed. |
[QUOTE=Rescuemomma;4018555]But I must say for everyone who thinks I'm a hero - I'm not. And I feel totally defeated now :( As much as I will always be pro-rescue, if and when I feel like I can let another York into my heart and my life, I must admit, I think I\'ll be seeking out a healthy Yorkie from a respectable breeder. I don\'t think I can take loosing it after just a few days like this again :( And sadly, that\'s always a risk with rescues, you never know what abuse, IM SO SORRY TO READ ABOUT POOR WEE LILLY[R.I.P LITTLE GIRL] PLEASE DONT GIVE UP ON RESCUE U DO AN AMAZING JOB,,, ITS BETTER TO HAVE LOVED THAN NEVER BEEN LOVED ,,, im glad wee lilly had that from you xxx |
