It has taken me a few days to be able to post this on here. I wasn't sure if I was going to or not. But I decided I would. On Thursday I lost my dog, Shadow. Shadow was about 11 years old and was my Great Pyrenees mix. He was such a good baby. :(:( Shadow was apparently bit by a Copper Head or another poisonous snake. They think it was a Copper Head. :( Needless to say, Shadow departed to Rainbow Bridge. It was a hard decision for me to make and I have a heavy heart. He will be greatly missed. RIP Shadow. We loved you and will miss you. Thanks Lisa and Michelle for being so supportive when I really needed it.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about Shadow! I know how hard it is to lose a member of the family. I lost my Penny on Friday. RIP Shadow! I hope you and Penny are having a big time at the Rainbow Bridge!

I am so sorry, RIP Precious Shadow.
We have rattlers in our area, Years ago,we had Gretta our Doberman that got bit, she pulled through but it was very uneasy and lengthy process in her healing.
I am guessing you are in the Mid East, or the East coast. .

Rhonda, Shadow was a beautiful boy. I am so sorry for your sudden and tragic loss of your big baby boy. I know how you are feeling ,we lost our 12 almost 13 year old Australian Shepherd, Smoke aka Smoky Bear on Easter Sunday, it wasn't a tragic death like Shadow, because he just died in his sleep, but hard none the less. (hugs) to you and your family.

Thanks everyone. I still tear up about him. I miss him so much. I go outside and I am looking for him. He usually always came to me. Of course he was looking for a "goodie". But he knew who momma was. It is hard to get over missing them.

i am so very sorry for the heartbreaking loss of your beautiful shadow. i understand how hard it is when they leave us and especially when our minds have to keep remembering they're no longer here. sometimes i still look for my baby girl nika who has been gone over a year and it is very hard. you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. sending hugs

OhRhonda I am so sorry to read this, I can just imagine what you are going through, thoughts and prayers are headed your way, such a scary thing with these snakes, this is the second death I read about on YT in a month from a snake bite:(

I was sad to hear about the passing of your dog Shadow. Words really cannot ease the pain, but knowing you where a good, loving pet owner makes you feel better. Your doggie had a better life because of you and you are a better person for loving him. Good thoughts going your way from Talkalot and Barney.
