It is so painful to lose one loved so dear, but the love and your memories last forever. I hope that in time when you think of Chili that it will be with smiles rather than the pain you are now feeling. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry for your loss. You gave Chili a loving home and the special care he needed in his life. In the end, you gave him the most difficult gift to give. RIP Chili.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sheltie Chili. Chili knew he had a great family and lots of love. It is so hard to part with our babies but remember you did everything for him. He knew it too. Sending hugs your way. Take care of and think of the wonderful happy memories you had. Susan

Oh so so sorry for your loss today. How difficult on so many fronts. Please be in peace knowing you did the most selfless loving thing you could for Chili. I will have you in my prayers as you go through this transition of loss. Losing our furbabies is so hard - they are such a tactic part of lifes and to have that emotional and physical link cut is such a painful thing.

Sending good thoughts your way. Hold tight to those near and dear and be good to yourself.

Thanks so much everyone!! It makes my heart feel stronger knowing I have all the support of all of you wonderful people. I knew there wasn't anyone that would understand as much as the amazing people that I have met here on YT. Everyone of you are special to me and I am a better person due to the support that I have received from this wonderful site.

I am so sorry for your loss. Last month I had to euthanize my 15 1/2 Shih Tzu. He had lung cancer and was diagnosed last April. The vet told me I had to euthanize him then but I didn't think it was necessary at the time. He was still eating and drinking and was still active. Over the course of the months from then I helped him (Max) live his remaining days. Around the beginning of January Max started to go down hill. He finally stopped eating and drinking and I knew it was time to let him go. It was very hard because he was around while my children were growing up and he was very special to me. I now have a 16 year old Shih Tzu who doesn't seem to have anything wrong with her. I am always afraid something is going to go wrong with her. I also have a 10 year Pomparian and a year old Yorkshire terrier. I love all my dogs but it doesn't take the pain away of losing a pet. I wish you well in your grieving process.

Thanks again for the love and support. Today was a little better day!! It is still hard to think that Chili is gone but it was a comforting feeling waking up and knowing he is out of pain and a happy healthy little guy again. I miss seeing his cute little mug and probably will but I know in my heart that I made the correct decision.

I am so sorry to hear of your sadness. I wish I could give you words of comfort, but for now, you have to grieve and that is not easy. From your post I can tell you gave Chili a good life with you and went above and beyond to make him better when down. I'm so sorry and send heartfelt sympathy and hugs.
