My heart is also breaking reading about your tragic loss of Lexi. Please accept my deepest condolences. I hope you allow people who understand how great your loss is and the pain you are feeling to help you cope with losing your precious little girl. I really care, and I'm so sorry.

It is so hard when we lose them unexpectedly. I feel like I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to Piper. I hope your grief gets easier as the days go bye. I am right there with you. Hugs and love.

Oh my gosh, I am soooo sorry to hear this. We never know what a day will bring do we? How sweet of your daughter and son-in-law to be there for you and help. I wish there were words to say that would help but you just have to grieve and hurt until it gets better. Everyone is different and I certainly know the hurt you feel. Its a hurt like you feel you are going to die too. Bless you and I hope you feel better soon and just to know that little Lexi is in no pain helps some. RIP sweet baby girl, you are loved.

Thanks everyone. The pain is so bad I miss her so much. I spend lots of time with my dogs and can not tell you how much I miss her. If I would leave her for very long I would get barked at when I got home. I was sure she was scolding me for not taking her with. Boy do I miss that. It is so nice to have this forum to share memories.

I haven\'t left at all

I saw you gently weeping as you looked through photographs
You paused for just a moment at one that made you laugh.

But as you turned more pages the tears began to flow
You whispered that you missed me but I want you to know;

I softly licked those stinging tears that down your cheeks did fall
I want to help you understand I haven’t left at all.

On those days that you are overcome with sorrow, pain and grief
I rest my head upon your leg to offer some relief.

Because I know you surely heard my paws upon the ground.

I am back home now and it is really hard not having her here with me. Thank you all for the support. It is going to be hard for a very long time. It happened so fast I keep wondering what if.. I love you my Lexi and you will be missed everyday.
