Im so very sorry for the hurt you are feeling... you now have a very special Angel in Rainbow Bridge watching over you til you meet again.. sending healing thoughts to you and hugs..

Thank you all so very much. It is so healing and helpful to come here. Cried my eyes out today, reading "I haven't left at all." Can you believe I still have not heard from Animal Care and Control? And yes we are planning on suing the renter who lives there for damages and the cost of replacement. I am either going to retain an attorney or just go to small claims with a Florida Bar lawyer. I will keep you all posted. No amount of money could replace my sweet baby girl but I think it is important to find that dog and if not someone has to be held responsible for this horrible tragedy.

Thanks again to everyone, you all have brought me some peace and much needed comfort.

I can't imagine going thru what you just experienced...I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry folks, I may get beat up over my next statement (moderater, remove if it's offensive..please)...but I truly believe the Pit Bull breed should be banned and just die off, I've heard too many stories of pets, and kids getting attacked....agian, my heart goes out to you.

Feeling a little bit better. I think the initial shock has lessened to some degree. However, I am still heartbroken and missing her so. I went to The Cracker Barrel the other day and they had these little stuffed dogs on beds and one of them was a Yorkie. It looked so much like my Sweet Baby Girl. The same size as her and coloring and even the face. I replaced her bed with it tonight and just cried my eyes out. Rest In Peace Sweet Baby Girl, Momma loves you.

I feel so sorry for you. That's such a tragic way to lose a 13-year-old. I hope, in time, your heart will heal.

Ok, now you've got me crying. I'm so sorry for your loss. I worry every time I walk my little one. I'm always checking around for danger. I will be extra cautious from now on. I know you can't protect them from everything though. You are in my thoughts tonight. :(

I do not think it's the pitbull breed at fault, it's the irresponsible owners that should be banned from owning any animals and die off. It's frustrating seeing so much hate against an innocent breed when it's the people that should be held responsible. If a dog is trained to fight all its life, what else can it do?? The pitbull breed used to be a family dog, it's people that started using them for profit in fighting rings. It's really saddening!

I am not sure how I feel about this subject. I know that I am afraid of Pit Bulls now because of what happened. I have a friend who has Pit Bulls and she said that in the 1800's they used female Pit Bulls as Nanny's for children. Not sure if this is true, but thought it was interesting if it is.

I picked up My Sweet Baby Girls ashes the other day and it rained so hard. I imagined that it was tears from all of the animals at The Rainbow Bridge that have met my Sweet Baby Girl and realized how wonderful she was and they saw how sad I was without her.

I dreamed of her for the first time since I lost her and it was such a sweet sweet dream, I did not want to wake up from it. Hope to share the dream with you all some day soon.
