Haven’t Left At All

I saw you gently weeping as you looked through photographs
You paused for just a moment at one that made you laugh.

But as you turned more pages the tears began to flow
You whispered that you missed me but I want you to know;

I softly licked those stinging tears that down your cheeks did fall
I want to help you understand I haven’t left at all.

On those days that you are overcome with sorrow, pain and grief
I rest my head upon your leg to offer some relief.

When you take our walking path I’ve seen you turn around
Because I know you surely heard my paws upon the ground.

At night while you are sleeping I snuggle at your side
You stroke my fur as you touch that place where I used to lie.

You said it’s just your heart playing tricks upon your mind
But rest assured I’m really there, my spirit’s left behind.

I know your heart is hurting; it’s like an open sore
You think my life has ended and you won’t see me anymore.

But for those of us bound tight by love, death is not the curtain call;
It’s really the eternal beginning that waits for us all

So as you live your life I patiently await
For us to be together when you pass through Heaven’s gate.

I'm so sorry to hear of this and breaks my heart to read the replies, I was walking
Jack yesterday and a big black dog came running at him scaring Jack so much I
picked him up, Then put the boot in on the other dog ! The dogs owner was about
50 metres away and told him your dog should be on a lead and not left to run riot, I told
him that if your dog had bitten my dog I would have sued him for any damages caused.

Are you to sue the other dog owner ? I know it may not be the right time but I would !

Oh, I'm so sorry about the loss of your little girl in such a terrible way. Sometimes tragedy happens and there is absolutely nothing you could have done to prevent it.

I am so sorry for the loss of your little girl. I know it doesn't help, but your baby girl was with someone who loved her so much doing something she loved to do when this tragedy happened. I understand how great your loss is. Love lasts forever, and your baby girl will always be a part of your heart.

Thanks so much. I keep reliving that horrible moment. I know that only time will heal. I am devastated. I try and think of our wonderful times together, but the memory of that tragic day is so haunting. I will never get over this.

I am so very sorry for the loss of yr sweet Baby Girl! This is such a tragedy. You have to give yourself time to grieve. We all understand the Love of yr precious baby & are here for you. i am so sorry to hear of the tragic loss our your furbaby.. it is so painful to witness our little angels in any kind of distress. my baby girl nika passed away last august at only 6 years old from pancreatitis/hypoglycemia and had a terrible seizure the last night of her life. it has also haunted me and still does, but the happy memories are there just as much, if not more. she brought so much happiness to my life. i would like to send you a hug. remeber that love never dies. she will always be with you in you heart! my deepest sympathies in your loss and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
