We lost our baby
 
Sam passed away on Saturday afternoon ten minutes after leaving the vets clinic. I'm totally in shock and despair. He would have been 16 May 31st. Please say a prayer for my little Sam.

16 years, Wow, thats a long time to have a devoted friend. I know you are hurting. Send healing prayers for you and your family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. 16yrs is a long time. You both were very
fortunate to have each other for that long period of time. I am sure
the memories the two of you made together will always be close to your
heart. It always so hard to let them go.

Thankyou all so very much I know you understand.
I miss him so much and the house just isn't the same place any more. He'll live on in my heart as broken as it may be.

I lost my Holly at 16 on May 6th a few days ago. I so know how you feel everything is different with nothing on my lap or in my arms and on my pillow at night and no one barking at the door for me when I walk in. I know she was in pain and their was nothing more the vet to do. It hurts still. Casey my husband's 9 year little Maltese in missing her so bad he is depressed and keeps going from room to room looking for her and hiding under the end table. He's a daddy's boy and doesn't want my comfort when I try to give it to him which hurts to because it is just me and him now when my husbands at work. I'd like to help him feel so not alone and sad.

If you are still on the forum, I just wanted to let you know that a prayer will be said for you, too. I know the emptiness and loneliness that comes to one in the quiet of the night, and it does hurt. Hoping you find peace and comfort in the memories of your little one.

Awww. That is rough. I had to put my 17 year old cocker to sleep last march and it just never seems like enough time. I will be thinking of you and if there is anything you need in the way of support please don't hesitate to contact me! {big hugs}...

Thankyou all so much for the prayers, thoughts and understanding, you don't know how much it's apprecitated. Lynnenlily I'm so sorry and I hope that poor little Casey can accept the comfort you offer him once the shock has subsided from losing Holly. You really need each other right now. Mary thankyou for your friend request, you're all wonderful people. Yorkies tends to bring out the best in us, mine have taught me so much and for that I'll be eternally grateful.

So sorry - but I do know how you feel - my Toffee was 15-1/2 - loosing her was the most devasting thing I had ever gone through - I came home from the vet's and the house was TOTALLY SILENT - having had her company, and having had her share my life for so long, then her being gone left a hole in my chest that hurt so bad....I am very sorry, and my thoughts are with you.....
