I lost little Aggie to a pit bull... Aggie was one of the smallest Yorkies I have produced. She had many issues with hypoglycemia as a baby. I kept her for a year to make sure she would be alright before looking for her forever home. I finally found the perfect home! I was so excited for them and Aggie! Fast forward 3 years.... They called me today and told me that they were walking Aggie on her lead at the appartment complex where they lived when someone opened a door and a pit bull raced out and killed Aggie while on her lead. It happened so fast and was so un-expected. The owners of the pit bull were extremely rude and told them that they could go buy another dog in the paper. Needless to say, the owners of Aggie are going to sue these red-necks and hopefully get that dog put down as it turns out this is not the first time this dog has attacked. They are devistated by this. R.I.P. my little Aggie. |
OMGosh! I am so so sorry! My prayers are with you and Aggie's family. I can not even imagine but it is one of my biggest fears. I never take my "kids" out by myself and have mace and a tazzer and I always take at least one of them with every time I go out with the kids on thier leashes. It never ceases to amaze me when I hear about things like this and the owners of the pitt or attacking dog are rude to the owner of the ATTACKED. WTH is that? Where do these people come from? Love and hugs to you all, Kim |
I am so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of Aggie...Please know that I am sending Prayers to you and the family that had Owned/Loved Aggie these last 3 years!!I hope that they press charges against these people and that the dog is PTS. My sister just went through this about 6 weeks ago But, Luckily her beloved Cock-a-poo survived with puncture wounds and drainage tubes and huge scars. He won't even walk out the door anymore for a walk. Poor Lincoln is terrified!! The 2 dogs owners paid Linc's Vet Bills. When the Police went to talk to the owners the 2 dogs attacked the Police. They were both PB mixes!!! I told her to push for them to be destoyed!!! You and Aggies family all have My Deeest Sympathies...:hands::hands: R.I.P. Little Aggie... :rip::angelyork |
I am so sorry! :( |
I am so sorry to hear about Aggie. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to see your little ones life taken right in front of you. How could those people be so callus and uncaring? I feel sorry for the pit bull as well because it obviously has some very stupid and unworthy owners, that type of dog needs a strong pack leader and lots of socialization. Now this dog will be put down because it had bad owners. |
Omg.. how horrible... for the family that so loved your baby.. and for you to lose on of your own babies like this.. how horrific to deal with.. I so do not take my guys far on a leash... scared to death.. My heart breaks for you all... and right now saddened to even read this thread... sending my condolences to all concerned... anne |
that is so sad...RIP sweetie! |
I'm so sorry for the loss of little Aggie:( I can't imagine how devestated her owners were to see their beloved dog killed infront of their very eyes. I'm disgusted to hear about the attitude of the pittbull's owners:mad: That pitbull is their responsibilty; they may as well have killed Aggie with their own hands. My thoughts are with you and Aggie's family xxx xxx |
So sorry for your loss .Unfortunately for the poor dog and lack of any kind of training, he will suffer now. It's actually the owners that need to be put down |
RIP Angie |
Oh how terrible. Hearing this just breaks my heart. Im so sorry. I hope they are successful in getting actions taken. |
Ugh, I hate stories like this. I just don't understand how people can be so irresponsible with their dogs (especially breeds like pitts) and then to top it off, be so uncaring about a tragic situation like this. My condolences to you and to Aggie's family. Hugs. |
OMG. I knew I should have saved reading this until later. My heart goes out to you! That is so horrible! Now I am going to be scared to take Allie for walks in our apartment comlex! How dare they say that to you! I can't believe how rude people can get! This just makes me so upset.... I am so sorry for your loss. Nothing we can say makes it any better, but we are here for you!! |
What a horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to you and Aggie's family. |
That is SO sad! I am so sorry for the loss of Aggie:( |
I cannot hold my tears when i read something like this, i feel so sad for you & Aggie's other family, and it makes me so mad that people with these Pit bulls never learn that they are killer dogs, do they not care? |
I am so sorry! Poor little Aggie. :rose: |
:( How very sad :( Im so sorry ! My prayers are with you all, R.I.P sweet Girl. |
 That is horrible!! Poor little baby girl!! RIP!! That happened in our n'hood and the pits were quaranteed and GIVEN BACK to the owners!! WTH??? They finally moved but the city said there was nothing that could be done. I think Texas law give every dog one free bite! If it happens again, they would be PTS. I am sorry if i offend anyone but i wish all pits were PTS!! There is NO reason to have one in a n'hood with little kids and other dogs. They are just a ticking time bomb IMO! My heart breaks for you!! |

Yes and the owners will go get more pitt's it's the mentality of the people who chose to own a breed such as that and think it's cool for it to be mean. |

So sorry to hear of your little Aggie's horrible fate. :( The pit bull owners are the real villians in this tragic story. How could they be responsible for little Aggie's death and then be rude to her owners? Some people should never be allowed to have dogs. I do believe this is another example of why man should never have created this breed though. Man set out to create a killing machine and now without the best of guidance, training and constant supervision they do revert to killing machines. Too many take on the ownership without being willing to give all that is required. Now all mankind and animalkind pays the price. Including the pit bull who should definately be put down now, but was never taught any better than to fulfull its original mission. |
I am so sorry that poor baby's life was ended so horribly and senselessly. |
I am so sorry:animal-pa |
im really sorry for your loss. some people have nohearts.:mad: that poor baby.. may she rest in peace.. |
I am so sorry for yours and the owners loss. You are in my thoughts. |
I'm so sorry ! I feel terrible for both you and Aggie's family, my heart goes out to all of you. Hopefully everything will be sorted out with the pit bull's owners... Some people should not be dog owners... |
Comments on Aggie's Tragedy First of all Brooklyn and I send our prayers:hands: to you and Aggie's parents. We are broken hearted:unlove: that a fellow Yorkie had to cross the rainbow :rbyorkie:in such a horrific manner. As my Brooklyn lays here "pup-napping":dogzzz: beside me, I look at him and can't imagine ANYTHING happening to him:luv:. He has become my son, my baby boy, my bestfriend. I can only imagine that Aggie's parents felt the same way about her. We thank you for sharing the story. As gruesome as it is, it reminds all of us Yorkie mom's & dad's to be careful. Sometimes when you are walking around on a day to day basis with "one of the worlds GREATEST dogs":yorkiesar it causes you to have a false sense of security. We must be cautious of our surroundings and be mindful of other breeds, where they live in conjunction to where we walk our "kids":dogwalk:. (Not insinuating that Aggie's parents were not cautious...they did nothing wrong). We must also keep in mind (when dealing with humans in general) that just because they own dogs doesn't mean that they are caring people. Some of the most evil people:angry: HAVE or HAVE HAD DOGS! One more thing...just because we know that our kids are adorable, sweet and cute doesn't mean that everyone feels the same way about our breed. I have met people who don't like dogs, I have met people that like dogs but not small breed dogs...and the list goes on. I don't know why the owners of the PB were so insensitive to Aggie's parents but I do know that their actions show that they either don't particularly care for "small breed" dogs or they really don't care about dogs in general (including their own). We pray that God will heal the hearts of everyone that mourns her loss:rip:. May Aggie's family be blessed to care for another precious Yorkie:aimeeyork in the future. Sincerely, Brooklyn's Mommy & Mr. Brooklyn |
OHHHHH how sad! :( I hate hearing these types of stories.. always makes me cry to imagine how that poor baby felt. The fright, the pain... ugh ugh ugh... I am SOOOO sorry to hear this. RIP Sweet Aggie. :littleang |
