YorkieMomHS | 05-20-2009 08:42 AM | I appreciate everyones thought's and prayer's 1 Attachment(s) Everyones post's mean so much. It's a comfort to know that the people here do understand. Bella was my every minute companion. She thought the reason she went every where with me is becasue everyone wanted to meet her! And really, they did. She was very endearing.I feel so alone wthout her. If she were here she would be covering half the keyboard while I tried to type. Bless my sweet husband he is trying to share our other Yorkie with me...lol. Our boy hangs with him all the time and for the first time is a long time I noticed that he did sleep in the middle between me and my husband rather than on the other side if my husband. I guess even he can tell how sad I am.
I struggled with whether to get Bella spayed at all. Really questioned whether to do it. My gut said no but everyone else said yes. I should have listed to my gut. Bella had a problem the first time she every got vaccinations form the Bordatella vac. It enlarged her heart. We took her to a specialist. She took meds, it went down, all cleared up, no problem. All the safety precautions were taken, everything. I even stayed up all night just in case she went into distress. She didn't. She just went quietly while I was in the shower. She is going to be cremated. We will spread her ashes in the backyard she so loved to run and play in.
I am posting a picture of Bella. I am like everyone, I think my baby was perfect. She heir, her size, perfect personality. She was so sweet with just that perfect drop of evil that made life with her so fun. She did have one flaw - she like to eat poop! Nothing, not even age cured it. We cured it within the house by using Forbid on the food all of our dogs eat but let her find some stange poop and you would think she found a buffet.
I called the breeder that we originally got Bella from. She has always kept up with Bella and her and I have always just chit chatted about other things. I wanted her to know what had happened. Anyway, her parents have Bella's sister and they have been talking about not being able to keep her because of their age. She sent me a picture and she looks just like Bella. And it sounds like her personality is just about the same as well. I don't know if we can get her yet though. I hadn't thought of getting another Yorkie this soon but if it's Bella's sister how can we not.
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. They do help. My heart and prayer go out to all who have lost yours. It's nice to have a place like this, with people who do truly understand the pain and heartbreak. Truly thank you |
