OMG! I am sooo very sorry for your loss. Believe me I feel your pain! I also had a Yorkie named Bella and she passed away last month, April 4th from Fire Ant Bites she was just one year old. She was gone in a matter of 2 1/2 hours! It was absolutely devastating as I know having lost your Bella is devastating to you! These dogs are like our children and the love I am sure you had for yours will be in your heart always. My Bella had my heart and I miss her dearly and I too felt sooo guilty! I felt like I failed her and I cried and cried for days! I am crying again cause I still miss her so and can only imagine your pain as well. I can tell you this much... don\'t beat yourself up! I am sure you did everything possible for Bella. I thought I would never be able to get another Yorkie cause I was afraid I would probably compare it to Bella. So thought about another small dog, but when I would look at them nothing really pulled at my heart strings. Then for Mother\'s Day my husband took me to look at a couple Yorkie puppies and the woman had two females left and I chose one! She is just precious and has a totally different personality then Bella. I named her Lexi. She is 9 wks old and she has helped to heal my broken heart! I am so greatful for her. So give yourself time and hopefully you will be able to move forward and maybe get another one too. You are in my prayers! God Bless You! Please let me know how you are doing! I do care! Oh my goodness, I\'m so sorry for your loss!

I was so worried when we got Reese spayed last month. Complications in small dogs seem to be very common these days.

I am very sorry to hear about Bella. Try not to blame yourself. You were just trying to do the best thing for your baby. Spaying was the right thing to do. I hate to even ask a question at this time, but, did Bella have any health problems that the vet was aware of?

My deepest sympathies to you over your loss. I know the pain that you are going through and of guilt that eats at you in times like this as I recently lost my best friend, Spike. It can be overwhelming at times I know... Nothing anyone here can say can take away the pain that you are feeling, but you can take comfort in knowing that you are among friends here and by sharing your feelings you are helping the healing process that is to follow. Like you, I discovered this group of caring Yorkie lovers after Spikie\'s accident and their compassion and support helped me cope with my devastating loss and unimaginable feelings of guilt...

I wish that I could say that those days are behind me now and that I don\'t feel an enormous hole in my heart where my buddy used to be... Always making me laugh and comforting me with his undying loyalty... But know that your Bella loved you as much as you loved her, and that she does not blame you for what happened, so try not to be so hard on yourself... It isn\'t easy... We love them so much and want to protect them from everything... But we are only human.
