R.I.P Prudence
 
Today was the day, I logged back on for the first time in months. To let you know prudence is doing well, I wanted to order a custom dress for her for christmas. I guess I want be doing so now.

Prudence is gone. She had a virus, that you can catch outside, the vets said, oh how i miss pru, we had to put her asleep, because she was unconsience. She was supposed to have 40 breaths a minute, and she only had 6. I am in tears, bawling.

How do I become non depressed.
Please help me.

OMG, I'm so sorry for your loss. Did it come on suddenly, or has she been sick? Did the vet have a name for the virus?

You must be devastated. All you can do is be thankful that she's not suffering and try to find some peace in the wonderful memories I'm sure you have of your time with her.

You poor thing. That Parvo virus a bad one. That had to be heart breaking. Was she sick for long? Was she your only pet? Remember all the good times you had with her. Life will be tough for a while,but time will help. Don't let yourself be depressed if you can help it. Go out for walks. Look at pictures and think of her with a smile. She's in a happy place. She would'nt have wanted to live on this earth sickly. Take Care of yourself,and keep posting. You need our support. You not alone. Hugs Melissa

I can so understand your pain. I, too, had to put my precious Annabelle down in June of this year for multiple back/disc/spine problems. She was not a candidate for surgery. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I wish I could tell you that you get over it....but I don't think you ever do. It gets better....but there are still a lot of times that I still cry. I pray you make peace with it. It's so hard. I'll be praying for you!

I'm so sorry for your loss. :( I just read in the Christmas card thread about you wanting to order Christmas cards but had to take new pictures of Prudence and teared up. :( How old was she? I cannot imagine what you're going through. Rest in peace sweet angel. :cry: :cry: :cry:

Thinking about that makes me tear up. Pru was fine yesterday morning, I was planning on taking more pics of her. I came home from Target, and she was unconscience :cry:
Prudence just turned 1 in July.

Parvo? And she was 1 year old? I thought the vacinations protected dogs from getting that? How can she have gotten that? This is very confusing to me...I need to reread how a dog gets parvo after vacinations for it?.....it kinda sounds like the ShowCrud that they were talking about......it is a virus too.

Did the vet do a culture?

I\'m so sorry for your loss. Anyone that has lost their furbaby, me included know how devastating and suffocating this loss is. But I can tell you from experience that time will heal your hurts. Grasp the good times you had with little Prudence. In time your memories will be a gift that you will have forever.

i\'m so very sorry you lost prudence and suddenly in one day! i just lost my man, spike, as well in one day...suddenly sick, rush to the vet and then cancer! my man was so very ill, i had to let him go....you had one wonderful year with your prudence and now you must cherish her memory....one day we will be united with our pets again never to be separated. our thoughts are with you. spike\'s:aimeeyork family...
