I havent Been on in a while.. for a number of reasons... but i figured i might as well get on to share my greif with some people who would be able to understand it.

Pebbles Passed away a few weeks ago. she wasnt even two yet. I dropped her and Shasta off at the groomers on a saturday morning to have a bath and trim. i got the call to come pick them up. when i walked up to the counter to pick up my pups the guy went in the back.. but instead of coming out with Pebbles and Shasta the owner of the shop walked out instead. I dropped to the floor in tears when she told me that pebbles had had a heart attack on the grooming table and died. Never in a million years would i have thought i wouldnt be bringing both my girls home that day.

its still hard to even think about the idea that shes gone. Shasta still looks for her every once in a while. and we miss her sooo much. but shes somewhere better now.. playing with Molly (my brothers dachund and one of the only dogs pebbles actually played with who also died way too young.)

I am very sorry for your loss. It sounds a bit suspect to me, though. Is this a reputable groomer?

I'm so sorry for your loss. It does sound very suspicious though, I would definatley look into to as well!

it is the same groomer that Pebbles had been going to since a pup. she was very stressed out and not acting her normal self according to the groomer. it was all on survelience tape... although i couldnt bring myself to watch. they did pay for a autopsy, her to be cremated, and offered me a pup when im ready(the owner of the grooming shop breeds yorkies)... although i dont know if ill ever be ready and am just thankful to Shasta... she is my little peice of pebbles.

That is awfull. You never are preparred for news like that. Even when they are old and you know it's coming,it's hard. I hope each day helps you heal and move on,not forgetting her,but remembering all the joy you brought to each ther in her short but fuffilled life.

I'm so sorry for your loss.:( We lost my mums Pebbles in Jan she was 15 years old and we loved her so much, you must be distraught with it all and with her being so young, we are thinking of you.:animal-pa

So sad to read this. I hope time heals you and Pebbles lives on in your heart. I don't think I could bring myself to watch the vidoe either.
I must say that for them to have video in their shop is pretty good business practice. That's an interesting point and know I'm going to ask the next groomer i use if they have video of the shop where the dogs are done. What protection for both parties.
I'm sorry for your loss. I just loss my lil girl 11 days ago and its very hard. Sending hugs your way!!!:aimeeyork

OMG, I am so sorry. Who would ever think that your baby would not come home from a trip to the groomers??? And 2yrs old is just way to young.:( Did Pebbles have a condition that would have given you any clue to a reason for this happening? Oh, this is just sooooo sad.

We don't have good vibes when we go to the groomers either, from now on, it's grooming at home, no matter how they look....so sorry for your loss...:littleang

My goodness. It makes you realize you just never know when our precious furbabies will be taken away from us. I am glad that you can find some comfort in your other dog in this sad time.

RIP Pebbles... God just made room for another furry angel.

OMG! I am so sorry for your loss. What a terrible thing to have happen. Was she in good (healthy) condition as far you know? Just seems so odd. RIP Pebbles.

she was in perfect health. she had been checked not to long ago as she had puppies. (shasta is her daughter)

this is so sad :( it just breaks my heart literally -- i am fearful of groomers so i stand there while grooming as my friend\'s poodle died at the groomers and have heard several stories like this but good for them for having a camera there but still so tragic

I am so sorry for your loss. I would have taken my dog to the vet for confirmation of the heart attack.

Oh I feel for you. I can\'t understand how a little dog only two years old could have a heart attack. I look forward to hearing the autopsy report. Please keep us informed. Take the lady up on the Yorkie. It will not be a replacement it will be a new addition. When a chow ran up and grabbed one of my Yorkies they offered to do the same. I didn\'t take them up on it and I just couldn\'t live without the love of a Yorkie. I ended up buying a couple of male puppies when I should have let them pay for one.
