I lost my Remey and my best friend yesterday....
 
We had to send our 15 1/2 yorkie to doggy heaven yesterday. He was just about total blind and almost completely deaf. He was peeing all the time indoors and he was so well trained, poor little fellow could hold his water long enough to get outside. He was sleep all the time then he would wander night time around in confusion bumping into the furniture and so on. He would eat his food but he was all the time drinking water. We took him to the vet yesterday and he looked him over and said he was in kidney failure. He suggested it maybe time to let him go. This is the hardest thing I had ever had to do. I can't stop crying. I brought him back from the vet and our family buried him in our backyard under his pine tree that he always laid under in the summer. I miss him so much today, I don't know what to do.

I am so sorry and understand the pain. Unfortunately sometimes you have to make the difficult decision to let your friend go.

I'm so sorry for your loss! He is at the rainbow bridge now, young and healthy again and he is playing with all the other pups that are waiting until they are reunited with their moms and dads...

*tight hugs for you* I'm so sorry for your loss. Most of us can feel your pain. Visit his favorite spot every night to say goodnight. It will bring you comfort. I know that Remey is playing with Roscoe.

I'm so sorry your heart is broken. 15 1/2 years is alot of memories - treasure them - they will bring you smiles after your heart mends. God Bless and big hugs. Remey will be watching over you from his perch over the bridge.

I'm so very sorry that Remey is no longer with you physically, but I do believe he remains in spirit and sweet memories. He was clearly very much loved.

Thank you all for responding, God bless you all, I just looked out at his grave and myself and my son and daughter started to cry again. this is the first dog we ever owned. I hope in time, it will get better

Hello...... i just read your sad story and just wanted to tell you, that I too lost my first yorkie 4 years ago in very similar circumstances to you. So i understand totally what you are going through. It will get easier and i said for a while that i would never have another, but i relented and now have another love of my life. Harvey....... who is such a different character to Benjie, but so very special too in his own way.

Just wanted to say how sorry i am - bless you.....:(

Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry for you. I know how heartbroken you are. I lost my Muffin in almost the same circumstances. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through, so I know sort of what you must be feeling. If you feel like talking, feel free to pm me anytime. He's at rainbow bridge now and remember that he isn't suffering anymore.:(

I am sorry you lost your little one Remey.
I know exactly how heartbroken you are.
I had to put my Lil' Pom Rakki to sleep 3 yrs ago.
That was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.
That is why Scruffy is so special to me - just by a freak accident - I found him the very next day.
Scruffy has helped me heal tremedously.

We lost our little girl Maggie today from the same thing, kidney disease. We buried her this afternoon here on Cape Cod. We know exactly how you feel and wish no one else has to ever go through it.

I am sitting crying my eyes out for you....please know we are all thinking of you and praying for you and your family......this is one of the hardest parts of life.....I pray you will heal soon and cherish the beautiful memories.....

I'm so sorry for your loss I truely wish our dogs could live to be 80 so they would grow old with us, but they don't and losing them even at an old age for a dog is never easy. Just be thankful you had a wonderful boy for over 15 years and that is a blessing.

Enjoy your youth again at rainbow bridge Remey !

Hello fellow Canadian. I am so sorry for your loss. 15 years is a long time. I just brought my 2 yorkies (14 months old) to my mother-in-law yesterday bec. my husband and I are going on holiday and I miss them already. God Bless and don't worry the angels will take care of your little furbaby.
