My Heart Aches and I can't stop the tears
 
I know that all of us will have to come to this forum eventually but I didn't think it would be my turn so soon.

One of my babies from my very first litter of puppies has died.

I had given him to my husbands cousin who had recently lost a maltese. she loved that little dog soooooooo much, he meant everything to her and went everywhere with her he slept with her and he is all she talked about.

She called me this morning crying, to tell me he had died.

He started to have trouble breathing, she thought he had something in his throat so she took him to the vet. they xrayed him and said there was a grey mass in his chest that was pushing against his heart and lungs and his lungs were filling up.

The vet thought it was from a trauma but she said as far as she knew he hadn't been injured. He hadn't fallen or gotten hit or been around any other dogs.

They tried giving him oxygen but he died in her arms.

Please Lord put your arms around her and comfort her as she suffers this pain.

I'm sorry little Goober, i hope you know how much you were loved. You will be missed.

OMGoodness I'm in tears right now. I'm so so sorry. You are all in my prayers. ((hugs)) He knew how much he was loved.

Oh, I'm so sorry you lost the grand puppy. I know exactly how you feel as earlier this year the same thing happened to me when our 3 YR old grand puppy died as he was from our first Yorkie litter too.

It really is heartbreaking and so sad. He is at Rainbow bridge and you and your husband cousin can take comfort in that. :(

Thank You all. I am so sad for her because now she says she will never have another dog because it just hurts to much to lose them.

I can understand that, I would only have big dogs for more than 15 years after losing a Cockerpoo I had for 14 years when I was rasing my kids. I just didn't want the heart ache. I now think I was so wrong and missed out on what a small dog can bring to a family. I loved the big dogs I had but a lap dog is awesome! I'm glad I have them now.

Please tell her it is worth taking a chance as a new baby will help her heal.

Jeanie, I'm so sorry. It must be so hard.
I know where all of Sunnie's & Maggie's babies are except one (the young man who bought him moved and I don't hear from him). I don't think you ever get over the attachment of being there when they're growing, being there when they're born, their eyes and ears open, they start to explore the world with shaky legs...then before you know it they are going on to live their lives with new people to love and care for them as you have. That attachment does not sever when they leave your care, I think it's in your heart forever.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. It is a very difficult time for everyone involved. Wish I had the magic words to say to make the hurt go away. After 2+ years I still ache daily for our Dexter, but it does get a little easier daily.

I am very sorry for the loss of this precious puppy. It is heartbreaking .Maybe in time this person will consider having anther puppy. She needs to grieve for the loss right now. It is so sad.

Ohhh.that just breaks my heart...I am crying as I am trying to type this. My heart goes out to her and you.
There are lots of little yorkies for the baby to play with at Rainbow Bridge, I also believe that we will see them again when we pass on.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with y\'all. I have been there and when my baby passed, it felt like my child had left me...It will take time and I know that God has his arm around y\'all....God Bless:rbyorkie::love-hug1

How sad that he had to go over the Bridge that way. But It\'s nice to know that you were able to help your cousin have lots of wonderful love from that little furbaby.
