August 7, Newman will be gone a year. It's hard to believe our boy is going to be gone a whole year already. As it's approaching I have been so weepy this week. I cannot even talk about him without starting to cry. He was my first Yorkie and as many of you already know I bought him from a small puppy mill operation before we knew any better. He is why I am so passionate about closing places like these down. I recently started volunteering with the rescue Lilly came from and I'm really hoping that they get a Yorkie into rescue that needs fostering. I need to place my emotions into helping another. I miss him so much and I am dreading August 7. I just don't know how I'm going to make it through that day.

Elaine.. I am so sorry. Please accept the hugs I am sending your way.My heart goes out to you. I admire the work you do for the rescues and I know Newman does to. I sure hope you get the yorkie.The baby would have a fabulous Mommy and home. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry. It's never easy to lose those we love and the pain never goes away totally but it does get a little easier with time.:(

Oh Elaine, I was so saddened when you had to say goodbye to Newman, and I'm sorry you are having a hard time now. You were a wonderful mommy to him and he is watching over you with pride. We will be here to help you get trough that day.

I know, it is so hard. I still miss my yorkies and have just now started looking for another one. They were my babies and still today I think about them and miss them all the time.

I'm sorry your feeling anxious and sad about the upcoming date that Newman passed away. :( Like someone else said, I know your sweet Newman is watching over you and is waiting till the day when you two will meet again. :rbyorkie: Take Care.... Sending a hug your way. :big_hug:

I just saw this...:(:( I remember when we got my 'Tessa'...(cocker spaniel) 14-1/2 years ago.... later ...I found out what puppy mills were - The place had haunted me so bad and I started researching it and that's when it hit me where she had come from -

Good for you doing what you're doing. You should be proud of yourself...many people don't get to help the way you are.

I am so sorry for your loss . I still remember my beloved Lark ( Collie ) after 8 years . I think about the good moments we had and my heart feels better .

I so sorry that you are going thru this. It is okay to cry if you want and need to. Just remember all the joy and happiness that you and Newman shared and may that bring happy thoughts to you.

I'm sorry for your loss. I had to learn about puppy mills and pet stores the hard way as well.

Many of us on YT understand your sadness. It's been two years since my Cassie died when I was at my father's funeral in Ms and periodically I will start crying when something reminds me of her. Remembering is a testament to our love for our furbabies. Hugs.
