I am so, so sorry for your loss. But an accident is an accident - never meant to happen. You are not to blame. Only your heart can tell you what to do now. Having been in that position, I know, for me, the memory of the very last time I saw someone (skin or fur) is the memory that stays with me. My heart and tears are with you, whatever you decide. God Bless and Hugs. |
Oh every pet owner's nightmare. I am so sorry. When I lost Trace I did, indeed, hold and kiss him goodbye. Time heals the ache. Take care ~ |

Iam so very sorry:( hugs to you:lovewings |
Oh my gosh my heart aches for you. I lost my maltese spike Oct. of 06, not to a car but the loss is profound in any way. I didnt get to see spikey after he passed as it was so unexpected. But I have tons of pics that I look at everyday and remember all the love we shared. Please know you are not alone and I'm sure we all feel your devastating pain. Keep your other babies close as I know they will grieve along with you. Mine did. God Bless Elizabeth, Duncan and Piper |
I'm so sorry:cry: I chose not to look at Starr after she'd died, I didn't want to remember her that way:( You are in my prayers, hon:hands: |
:( :( :( :( I'm so so sorry !! I would try to not say the goodbye visually - just remember her happy and running free - just like she'll be doing at Rainbow Bridge.....poor baby - you have my condolences ...I hope she never felt any pain :( :( |
I am so sorry. It IS such a shock. I just went through this in January and I was the one who found our little boy. I still can't get that image out of my mind. I don't know what to tell you about seeing him to say good bye. Everyone is different. Although it's been hard for me, I'm glad I was there. I know Tootsie is at the Rainbow Bridge now, running and playing. Here's a poem that I read the night Peanut passed. I'll lend you for a little time, a dog of mine God said. For you to love while she lives and mourn when she is dead. The years they may be six or ten or even as few as three. But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and shall her stay be brief, You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay, since all from Earch return. But there are lesseons taught down there I want this dog to learn. I've looked the wide world over, in my search for masters true, And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have chosen you. Now will you give her your love, nor think the labor vain, Nor hate me when I come to call to take her back again? We answer in sincereity, Dear Lord, They will be done. For all the joy this dog shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run. We'll shelter her with tenderness and love her while we may, And for the happiness we will know, we'll ever grateful stay. But shall the angels call for her much sooner than we planned, We'l know the bitter grief that comes and try to understand. :rbyorkie: |
Sorry for your loss... (HUGS) Praying for you. :hands: |
I am so sorry for you loss. Accident's happen no mattter how much we try to prevent them. I would just say goodbye and not do a visual. That would stay with me forever. I rather remember the last time I saw someone and how happy they were. Hence, I do not go to viewings. You have to do what makes you have closure. Know your baby is now whole and having a wonderful time at Rainbow bridge with all the other's there. You will always have those wonderful memories of the time you two spent together. Hugs, |
I am so very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain you must feel. Sending warm healing wishes your way. |
Oh you poor thing! I am so very sorry that you are going through this. I will be sure to keep you in my thoughts! Hugs to you and your family:animal-pa |
Poor baby. Rest in peace :( ... You should not view him. For those who have been there at the final moment, it is for the comfort of our babies. Anything past that is just traumatic to us humans. Let someone else put him in what will be his final resting case (urn or casket) and then talk to him, knowing that he's inside physically ... and you can see him from healtheir days and talk to his spirit from your mind ... Sorry for your loss :( |
I am so very sorry for your loss. RIP sweet Tootsie. |
