I have had this very same thing happen to me, but by some grace of god, the car missed my baby. I never cried so much in my life. I have went around the yard looking for any type of hole that I could get 2 fingers in. I know this doesn't help you now, but I do want to tell you how sorry I am for you. And trust me, we all feel the pain you are going through. We all love our babies so much and just the thought of being in your shoes is very saddening.
In time you will learn to open your heart again and love another baby. And I hope your heart will heal knowing that you did your best to keep your baby safe. It was god's will to have her join him in heaven as an angel. I'm sure she knows she was loved.

I am so sorry for the loss you are feeling. I have felt that horrific pain of a pet being hit by a car once before in my life and I know how you feel. I hope a new puppy (should you decide to get one) will help ease the pain and help you to remember all the fun times that you had with Lulu.

This accident had to be one of the worst things that have happened to me. I am thankful that I was able to sleep last night and not relive it all night. It was the most horrible thing to see.

I am soo sorry for your tragic loss......This identical exact same accident almost happened to us 2 days previously.....

I hope things work out for you, your family and this new baby....

You are so truly a wonderful mother. Any yorkie would be in heaven to be yours. Please know that when you laid her to rest that I sure hope the healing of your heart can begin. I am beside myself on your story for your reaction to her passing and paying tribute to her is so humbling. The graveside ceremony and the TATTOO is so very touching! My heart is so with you and will be in the days to come. Hugs of comfort are coming your way. Please take care and know I will be thinking of you.

I know all too well what it feels like (like many here do) - they are our babies. Just know that Lulu knows how much you love her and she is blessed to call you mom.

Amen. What a fantastic funeral and tribute to Lulu. You have done her memory proud.

Oh I am so sorry for the loss of Lulu. The fact you were able to bury her brought closure for you and your family. So often a puppy disappears and we never hear again what happens.

I hope you will be able to open your heart to a new puppy. It wouldn't be Lulu but you sound like a wonderful puppy mom.

One day at a time. It will get easier.
