Bark in the Park is being held on August 11 and 12, 2007 at Stony creek Metro Park. All dogs are welcome and must be on a leash. There are contests, vendors and puppy play area. It goes from 10am-4pm.

Oh good!! We went last year and it was fun, hot but fun.and we didn't have Bentley yet. so can'twait to take him this time. MAYBE we all could meet up there at a certain time.???

Mickeyb, what was it like? Is it just walking around to different vendors or is it actually entertaining? We are going on Sunday the 12th.

Alot of walking around,vendors they have pet adoptions,they had a couple of demonstrations-the obstacle course-don't know the real name! and the big pool that the dogs jump across to see who jumps the farthest.and they have the lake there,so lots of dogs in the water.playing.I remember seeing a couple of Yorkies in the water with all the big dogs having fun ! We will probably be there on Sunday also.

We are going to Petapalooza tomorrow at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights.pretty much the same thing.

Hi Karla,

Like I had said, we will be there ,unless its raining! There was a big ad in Sundays papers.about it .free admission,parking $4.00 for more info DougFM.com or 963WDVD.com.We will be there when they open at 10:00.I will be there with Bentley and my husband Mike. We hope to meet you there!!

Am I the only one that went?

We were there at 10:00 till about noon.We got lots of free samples and goodies! Bentley saw the water and made a run for it!! he jumped right in and started swimming. He looked like a wet rat lol.I then put a t shirt on him-I poop,U scoop.-We saw a few Yorkies there and I think we went up & talked to all them! Iv'e never seen so many BIG dogs in my life.We had fun and will go again next year.Did anyone else go???

She had a pink harness and leash. We would go again too. I remember a Yorkie named Bentley. Was there a man with you?

Yep,that was us! that was my husband Mike. Did you get your picture taken at that cell phone booth? Here's a pic of Bentley and Mike in the water,its kind of dark though.Next time we'll have to wear Y.T. tags or something! and introduce ourselves.

If we can upload that pic.on computer,I'll try to put it on Y.T.
