Hello to all my fellow Ohio Yorkie lovers! I'm in a west side suburb of Cleveland too. We have 4 AKC Yorkies. Crickett: almost 5#'s, Lancelot: 6#'s, Sassy: 8#'s and Angel (our teapot, weighing in at 10#'s). Enjoying these little furbabies alot and hope to raise a litter sometime. :) |
Hi guys! I'm a Cincy native though I'm currently living in the Dayton suburbs.. |
ohio I am from Ohio, Tallmadge outside of Akron. I am not a Yorkie Mommy yet but hope to be after my vacation is over at the end of October. Don't want to get my baby and then need to leave for a week. :) |
Good evening girls.... I am a yorkie mom...and deeply upset and frustrated because my yorkie lola about ten months old now ( bday is oct 3rd) is very very aggressive and hyper w/my other female baby girl shes a japanese chin thats 6yrs old. Shes a lover and a wife to my gizmo , to which both have been a couple since 2005 LOL. I dont know what to do . No my lola ( yorkie ) is not in heat and yet she is not fixed. I adopted her in late May and she was not getting along with her first owner that adopted her from an Ohio breeder ...and the prev owner said she was hyper with her older dogs. I thought nothing of it because I have had doggies my entire life and most with time and love and patience will grow to outgrow hostilities w/in the other householdl from moving in to a loving caring home...they can tell the diff.ps I am in North Ridgeville OHIO SO I paid for her adoption and moved fwd...here we are all summer on and off she gets aggressive what do I do? someone said Fix her others say the same , I was considering maybe she was not happy here w/the other female to maybe rehome her ...:( I dont know anymore I really dont. Ive spent over a couple hundred on her. The prev owner I adopted her from paid 1200+shots and etc. I give! |

I live in Columbus :) Let me know if any of you want a "doggie glam party", haha. I do custom-fittings for harnesses and stuff! |
My story is much the same as Tamra's in that I used to look in on this forum but haven't visited in a long while. I have a 12 yr. old, Jasper, and a 2 yr.old, Jinx, plus a 2 yr. old shihtzu named Bella. We live in the country north of Ashland, Ohio. A drive from Dover, but still manageable. I usually go to the JoAnn's in Mansfield, Oh. Sometimes Medina, too, which is where I was born. Been married to the same adorable man for 28 years. He has a lot of patience with the furbabies. Nice to meet you all. garcy |
My baby Finally got my furbaby about 2 months ago. Her name is Elizabeth Victoria and will be 5 months old on December 3. I got her from a rescue group in Ashland, Oh. I am so thrilled with her. Getting the potty training idea most of the time. She is very active. She is about 8-9 pounds now which is fine because she is easier to find and not as easy for me to fall over as a tiny one would be. My daughter says she's like holding a slinky. When she has the run of the house, supervised of course, the same daughter says she is a squirrel. I love Elizabeth dearly. She is in the crate a lot of time during the day while I work but I am able to come home at lunch to feed her and let her out for awile. In the evenings, if I need to go out and not able to take her with me, she goes to visit my daughter's family and they "baby sit" for me. When they got their dog, a poodle, who is 10 years old, my grandson was not even born yet so he missed the antics of a pup so he is having a lot of fun with Elizabeth. Everyone asks why I choose such a long name for such a little dog, my answer is they came from England and needed a English sounding name. Can you get much more English sounding then Elizabeth Victoria. My husband passes away 1 1/2 years ago suddenly and my house was so quiet and empty but Elizabeth has livened up the house again. She has helped filled up that void that his passing left. She will never replace him but she has helped greatly. As soon as my son shows me how to put pics on I will post a pic of her. Thanks for listening to me ramble Elizabeth Victoria's mommy :aimeeyork Nanny |
