There is no one 'sponsering" Yorkiefair 2007. Last Spring 3 Yorkiemoms from Michigan , 2 from Utah and myself from Cincinnati were all together for a weekend and decided to put a Yorkiefair in Mi together. We are all working together to put it on, we have gotten donations for auctions, planned all the activities etc etc. All of the profits made will go to needed yorkie rescue groups. We are all hoping a great weekend for everyone. Janie |
Guess what??? I'm coming !!!!!!! I asked my husband today and he said YES ! It will be me, him and my step son. We won't be spending the night or attending the dinner but we will be there to hopefully meet some YT'ers and have some fun !!!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time !!!!! Now how will we know who eachother are ????? I'm worried no one will know who I am !!! :eek: |
I just thought of a few more questions :) Is this located outside? A building? If a building is it a large one? Will it be kind of set up like a flea market? As for our dogs....do we carry them, walk them....? I don't have a stroller so I'm just wondering how mine will be. Lots of questions !!! What all will there be to do there? I read the list of venders but I know I've read on YT where some are going as venders and they are not on the list. I read theres going to be a photographer there? Does anyone know what he charges and if they are taking pictures there? |

i am staying at a different hotel but Layla , my mom and i are still coming for the supper. we are staying at the Hampton Inn as far as i know it is located inside.. bring a leash and harness.. if you aren't sure how your pup will be around other dogs you can always carry her :) there will be demonstrations... just general yorkie meeting and greeting i looked up the photographer.. he takes the pictures.. then you go online and you can order individual prints.. i am making myself and I LOVE YORKIETALK shirt... hawaiian themed.. i'm putting my screen name on the back.. i'd be happy to make them for anyone who wants them for a small fee.. i'm not quite finished them (i need to pick up more fabric paint tomorrow) but i'm going to post a thread with the picture of the shirt on it later tonight :) |

I did some checking on cafepress.com and for less than $2.00 each I can make an order some Yorkietalk.com pins and have them for sale at the table when you sign in. I have to order them in incriments of 10 to get the cheepest rate. Do you all like this idea ? We will each be gettting a paper nametag at the door but if we had Yorkietalk pins on we could easily recognise another YT member and say Hello. How many pins should I order ? Janie |
I know that Des and I will be in our I:love: YT tanks that she makes on her site go.fetch.home@comcast.net They are really nice and would also work well. I think buttons are great. I would buy one. We could always write our YT name on the button with a Sharpie as well. |
I wonder if Des makes a matching Tee or tank for our babies? I seen hoodies but am wondering if that would be too warm? I'm bringing Brodie so I'm looking for boy things. Also Jodi it will be nice to meet you and Sissy, especially since Brodie and Sissy came from the same breeder! Quote:

2 Attachment(s) here are the shirts... a pink and a white... i'm going back to the craft store today to get more paint and i'm hoping to find a t-shirt small enough for Layla.. actually.. i think i'll just get a baby undershirt and make her one! she will be wearing a hawaiian out fit that is not too practicle.. so the shir tiwll be great for later :) both shirts are missing the heart between the I and YorkieTalk.. and the flower is missing a yellow pollen thing.. which i'll be getting the paint for today :) hope you like em :) i'd be happy to make more! |

well we don't have a stroller.. but i imagine all things yorkie are more than welcome... so i would say yes... anything that makes it easier for you to bring your pup! |
1 Attachment(s) For smaller pups, if you go to a Michael's (or other craft store), they carry stuff for bears and dolls, including plain T-shirts that you could embellesh. They aren't expensive - like $2.99!! Here are my and my girls in our I:love: YT wear. Des's hoodies are made of a lightweight T-shirt material. Sissy is on the left in the photo. I'm not sure if I'm bringing them both or not. |
