ANYONE ELSE AND FURBABIES READY TO PARTY..???

HA HA HA yeah ok, December 9th it is!:) That would be a Saturday, the 2nd Saturday in December to be exact. I do also like the idea of a gift exchange. And also, if you'd like, you can spend the night in our extra room so you don't have to do all the driving in one day. We have plenty of doggie beds, Chloe & Sissy both share and they have plenty of ceramic bowls also (only one set of stainless bowls - they use none of the 4 sets they have, so they will all be available. OK I have city water or bottled, those that are used to "well water"might want to bring some. I know mine won't drink the water in New York or well water when visiting. Food here is IAMS, we have puppy or 1 year plus. If any have unsettled bellies, feel free to bring your own food for your babies. Plenty of toys, so don't feel you need to bring any, if their own are brought, I've been told they will fight about them anyway. We do have a fenced in yard for those who moon neighbors, mine use wee wee pads behind a screen for privacy:D and for those of you that use pads also, I always have a ton. My front porch is playpen-ed in (it takes 3 playpens to do the porch and if need be we can take it apart and use where needed. I have one crate (not used usually, unless Chloe needs a break from Sissy) So that is available if your Baby is used to a crate at night and you decide to stay. I don't think I forgot anything. We need to get a listing of the Yorkies that are coming and their brothers & sisters if not Yorkies. We need to decide on a price range for the exchange and IF it will be general or boy/girl. Are we also doing an exchange for the Mom's/and or Dads? Dish to pass is fine or else i can order/and we need to decide lunch and dinner or one or the other. I have no preference.

Looks like Michigan has a game plan! Who is up for planning something for Spring? Maybe like Buckingham fountain in Chicago? Folks from Illinois, Southern Wisconsin & Northern Indiana should find it not TOO difficult to get to. Of course all the others would be welcome too!! Anyone like the idea?? Its going to be a long nasty winter and we have tons of time to plan. A picnic and maybe some games? And of course tons of pix!

What is Buckingham fountain?

Buckingham fountain is downtown Chicago. From you I am guessing a 2 or 3 hour drive? I am on the border of Wisconsin and Illinois. I tried to think of someplace that kind of linked the 2 states.

Hey, I live in Gurnee! The only thing I worry about Buckingham Fountain is it is pretty busy and I would be afraid of a furbaby getting loose. There has to be some sort of park or Forest preserve where we could rent out a shelter.

I just mentioned Buckingham fountain as a half way point.... Well a famous point? Lets try it this way.... Who is interested and where do you live? We'll see if we can find a safe central point for all who are interested. I'd really love to see this happen. Why do the other states have all the fun?

AND if you did that, and everyone who has playpens can bring them to connect. IF Jodie was willing, we could join also (from Michigan) if you want to include us. I think Jodie (LuvMySissy) and I are hooked on these Yorkie Get-to-gethers:D , Maybe we can make a weekend retreat somewhere....

AND You can come to ours also:)
I think 2 are coming from Canada, one from Ohio and who knows where, the more the merrier..... overnighters welcome as well.......... At least one yorkie admission ha ha:D

ok anyone that is coming to the party please PM LuvMySissy and make sure you are accounted for. We will have many extras here being that it is a Christmas Party for our babys. Diane will also be here with samples of her clothing if you are interested. Jodie set up a photographer. He needs a head count for any that may want to buy packages and has set a special low price for our members. I am trying to get a parade going, a short distance down Monroe Street. We will have door prizes and a Yorkie gift exchange for those interested and also an ornament exchange for those Humans interested. DaisySis and LuvMySissy are keeping the count, I am hosting. We will do a potluck so there will be much to eat for everyone whether you come to visit or participate in the many extras at this get together. I want to say, before I went to my first get together, I was afraid to go & let my girls down. I really thought there would be fighting or territorial acts. Nothing!!:eek: It is almost like all our babies know they are related. They play so nice and run and get so exhausted, they sleep so good on nights that follow days like this:D . Hello All

We are kind of new to YT and we live in the South Suburbs of Chicago. How far is the Christmas party (hrs drive) from chicago?

I don't really know but I used to work in a campground that had lots of campers from Chicago coming in... try mapquest to get an idea on the idea on how many hours, I will send you my address & zip in a P.M.,so you can check it out. Hope you can make it:)

OOH.....4 hours and 12 mins.....I don't think we'll make it, but maybe we can do a YT party in other cities and share the format and sponsors? Maybe even create a link for the "Chairpawples" and share the information for party success!!

There are quite a few members in the Chicago area - why not set up your own get together???
