This is sooo exciting. I just can't wait. I am looking forward to this so much. Someone called today to see if I had any Yorkies left. She had 2, but one ran out of the house and got hit by a car, I told her about the meet up and she put it on her calendar. Said she would call the middle of May to let me know for sure if she and family and Yorkie were coming. She thought it sounded great. |

I am very excited too. I think its turning out great. I was worried that no one would come. I think we have a great turn out already. I have one question, Some people have more than 1 yorkie, some people what to put all there yorkies in the exchange, some only 1, what will be do if there is an odd number????? (just a thought) Also how are the childrens games coming along???? I am so trying to find just the perfect outfit for the fashion show???? They have much cuter clothes for girls than boys. Parker is getting fixed on Saturday (4months) I'm a little nervious about it. Poor baby!!!!! |
You won't have to worry about the exchange. If everyone puts their gift on a table, we can just give them how ever many tickets or slips of paper with a number on it, for each gift they bring. Then they can just come up to the table at gift time, and present their number of tickets for that number of gifts. How's that sound? If they don't have a ticket (or slip of paper) then we know they did not bring a gift and are not participating in the gift exchange. If you want I can get some regular tickets at Wal Mart I think. I'll check and see. I don't remember who is planning the kids games. Do you know if it would be a good idea for us to get our dogs bordatello shots? I mean since their are going to be so many Yorkies. I've heard the shots can be awful sometimes for dogs. I just don't want our babies to get kennel cough or anything for that matter. I'll say a little prayer for Parker. He'll be just fine. |

gifts i have 4 yorkies that i am bringing and i would not expect a gift for each one of them, that would be very expensive one will do. not knowing who you are buying for i think it would be hard to buy something gender because if you bought for a girl and the person has a boy then you would have to exchange, i was thinking of things that are for either male or female. i forget what the gift amount was . i will have to go back and read again. |

Has anyone every made the dog biscuits???? if so do you have a good recipe. I see one that had peanut butter in it. It looked good. hahaha. My daughter Lauryn, who loves yorkies is getting soooooooo excited. (well me too) I wish time would fly :Puppy2: |
When you go to the Vet, Denise, please post what he/she says about the shots. I know Lynne was going to get hers the shots, but she said she always does. I go to the Vet on Wednesday, so I'll ask mine too and see what he says. I will get the tickets so that's one more thing for you not to worry about. |

my vet said that as long as we knew none of the yorkies were sick, we would be alright, but there is still that chance that someone's is so He suggested I bring him back and get the shot. Also he said since I take him to the groomers it would be a good idea. He didnt want to give it to him yesterday because he thought it would be better to do if after the surgery. He is really great. I had to take him to Paker City only 20 min. away. That is where I got him and thats where he got his first two sets of shots. Plus with it being in a small town he is alot!!! cheeper. |

I go to the Vet tomorrow for Izzie's 12 week shots. I'll ask mine about bordatella shots too. I am also going to ask about the kind administered through the nose. I've heard it's better than the shots, less chance of a reaction. Also, have any more signed up for the Meet-Up? We all might want to check with our local newspapers. The Frankfort Times will print info about the meet-up free of charge. It's not like an ad or anything. Maybe others can put in their newspaper. |
yorkie3 the bordetella that my guys get is the kind that is in the nose. they got there's last saturday and have never had a reaction from it. we gotta get some excitment going on this meet up. it's coming up pretty fast :D |
I havent had anymore people sign up. Hopefully more will, but even with the amount we have we are going to have a GREAT time. Christy.... have you got Dante yet??? if so post pics!!!!! Its almost May. So its coming up fast. I wish it would go faster. I hope everythings goes ok on the day of the meetup. I hope it all comes together. I was thinking if you want we will do it each year, and a different person could plan it. That might be fun and give us all a chance to do it, if we want. New ideas are always good. |
I was hoping we could do this once in the Fall (maybe inside) and once in the summer. I guess we can wait and see what everyone else thinks and see how it goes in May. I love the fall and it's just so pretty, I know Brown County is so beauiful in the fall. Yes, Christy has Dante, and I should be getting Masey Monday 8th, I can't wait! We are going to meet half way. |
I am trying to post pics if I can keep my daughter off the camera..she keeps running my new battery dead lol..i was so mad the other day ..i went outside got all set up to take pics with dante and ALL of the puppies and the battery was dead..oh i was sooo mad lol..but what can i do..she loves taking pictures and it makes her so happy. So once again i will try to get some taken today lol.. |
I took Izzie in for her 12 weeks shot today. She is very healthy and weighs 1 lb 4 ozs. My vet said the bordatello through the nose would be a good idea considering how many Yorkies will be coming to the meet-up. So I guess we'll be getting it next week sometime. |
I'll have to check our paper and see if they will print it for free. I cant wait to see all the new puppies. Janet, do you have any updated ones of izzy. she is very little i would love to see them. I dont mind meeting up as many times as everyone wants to. I order us some really cute buttons today. I'll pass them out at the meetup (one per family) I think you guys will like them. I seen them and had to order them. |

I'm not sure about the rabies shot and weight. She does seem a little small for it. I guess if your vet say ok, the its probably ok. or you could just feed her like crazy until she weighs 2lbs so we can see her at the meetup then slack off on her feedings. hahaha. I may be stupid but why would she have to have it before that??? (is it just incase a yorkie bites her with rabies) If thats the case, just dont let her down around alot. No, we understand, you have to do whats best for her. I just reallllllllly want to see her. She is the choc. yorkie right?? |

Well everyone at my house is in bed, and as I'm stuck up waiting for the stupid dryer to be done so I can fold the clothes, then off to bed... Here is a pic of my kids. |
We have another person coming. I called to double check on shelter, etc and the lady I talked to has a yorkie. She is coming and her son's family has a yorkie too. She is going to check with them. She works at the Park. |
