i cant wait it will be so much fun.
my abbey has decided to go into heat , she has exactly 3 weeks to go through this problem is her mom usually follows suite so i may be shy 1 dog that day or 2 if abbey isnt completley done. it will be just a guys day if they both are in heat. so i hope they are done by then.

oh come on... bring them... maybe they can conceive from a one night stand at the yorkie meetup. hahaha (Just joking) By the way, what will we do if it rains?????????????

seriously we do need a back up plan in case it does rain. anyone live close to the park ( jk). any advise anyone?

I wish I lived close by, I have a 2 1/2 hour drive, does the shelter have a roof? Do they have a indoor building? Guess we really need a back up plan, and I'm suppose to be camping, great, it can't rain!

The shelter does have a roof. I guess we would all get to know each other really well if it rains because we will all huddle under to roof. hahaha. I got the buttons in today, not as cute as they looked on internet but still cute. here is a pick of what is one them

Surely it wont rain. It rained enough this weekend. I was going stir crazy. So was Lexi my almost 2yr old. She loves it outside. She kept going to the door and crying say "oside - oside" . You all need to pray for me today... I started potty training Lexi... Not only am I training her, but I'm training Parker too. Do you think a Cherrio will work for Lexi. (hahaha) No I got her stickers and other little stuff. I only started this morning and around 11:00 Lexi ran to the potty saying potty potty. She didnt make it in time. She pee peed in her pull up. But I thought it was pretty good that she was making the connection already. Ok.... Enough about me.... Lauryn and I are going to start trying out recipes for the bog biscuits. I'll let you know how it turns out. Its finally May!!!!!! 19... more days. I'm going to start a count down

Ohhh boy, you'll be having so much fun. When I potty trained my kids I would take music (kids) and books in with me and we would sit sometimes what seemed to be hours lol But it didnt take lang, I wish Kloey was that easy!

What's the chance that I could beg my childrens' way into the celebration? I have two "kids", 6lb Nikki (a 4 year old) silky terrier, and Lucy (a 5 year old) yorkie-poo. Nikki is phenomenal with dogs of all sizes but we've found--on our side of town--that the big dogs trample us at the park! It would be wonderful to spend a day with similar-sized pups :)

this is just a suggestion, but i think everyone should bring some of there dogs own drinking water, sometimes it can upset there system if they are switched to something different. just a thought.

yes please do come, your babies, kids, family etc. just let us know how many and what side dish you would like to bring. its going to be alot of fun.

Thats a good idea about the water....... I cant wait. I keep having this stupid dream that I show up with all the meat etc. and no one shows up. I know you guys are going to shoot me but my computer crashed here at home and I had all the bio pages on it I lost alot of stuff. If its not too much trouble do you mind resending them. Or if you want you can bring your own bio page the day of the meetup and we can put them in a book. try to include pics of yourself and/or your family, yorkies, etc.

I had a lady pm me awhile back ago wanting to come, but her husband was going through some cancer treatments. Does anyone know her pm or how to get ahold of her. I pm her and told her I hope she could make it and I would pray for her husband. I feel bad because I cant remember her screen name. Does anyone know????

Is anyone elses hubby not as excited about this whole meetup. My hubby keeps teasing me that He has to work overtime that weekend. I think he is just giving me a hard time. He's not as socialable as I am. He's a great guy though so I cant complain. Ok I stop babbling on... Have a great day

is everyone getting excited!!!:D think we need to get a more updated list of everyone that is still coming so we have an idea of what we need to bring.

it's pretty much like the list on page 2. I have a few more people but they havent got back to me on what they are bringing.

Just a reminder that I have the tickets for the gift exchange and I've thought of something else that might be fun. Why don't we all clean out our Yorkie closets and drawers and bring things we'd like to sell or trade? Kinda like a "Flea" market....LOL I have a couple of new coats that I bought for my babies, never worn, and some lightweight fleece coats that I made. I've got a few other things too, so tell me what you think!! Anyone interested in doing this also?

That sounds great. I have things from Chloe (girly things, dress, shirts, etc.) Parker wouldnt dare wear them. I am so excited. I had two people from Meetup.com interested in coming. they said they would but they havent got back to me on what they are bringing. I thought we need chips too. I really hope everyone that says they are coming does. If not I know we will still have fun even if there is 5 of us. (hahaha) I had to laugh last night. My hubby keeps giving me a hard time. Denise, do we really need to entertain the kids? I mean most have games or electronic games of their own they could bring. I love kids (I drive a school bus), but I think most are coming to have fun, learn more about Yorkies, see the different sizes and colors and meet who they have been "talking" with on YT. I think more will be wanting to talk Yorkies than entertain the kids. I know that sounds awful, and I dont mean for it too, it's just hard to write it without it sounding that way.

I agree, I think that sounds good. There will be a play ground right by us and other things to do at the park. I know Lauryn will be right with me in the middle of things. She loves to socialize and loves yorkies. I'll let hubby take Lexi to the park, etc. (Oh, yeah, I'll let him cook too.) Is there any other hubbys that want to volunteer to cook on the grille??? Plus I think everyone can bring a few things if there kids want to bring something. That way there is not someone entertaining the kids and missing out on other stuff. Sounds Great!!

oh yeah, I love the idea about bringing things our babies have grown out of etc. I gathered up some of my dear Chloes things last night. I had a few really cute things for her so I'll be glad to pass them on. I think it would be funny if we had a piece of red carpet for our babies to walk down for the fashion show.... hahaha they would be on the red carpet..(get it) I told my hubby that last night. I think hes ready to check me in the the crazy hospital. (hahaha just jokin)

Denise, are you going to buy premade hamburgers or make your own? I have no idea how much you would need, I guess take how many people you have coming and add a few extra, I'm sure with all the side dishes, we will have plenty of food.

I wish I had some red carpet, I'd bring it. It would be so neat to see the Yorkies on red. I'm sure my husband would like to help cook. He's good at that sort of thing and enjoys it. As far as how much hamburger to bring, I've always been told that 1 lb will serve 3 people. I think mostly because it shrinks up. Were you going to bring it already made in patties? Places like Sam's club, or sometimes even the grocery store will make it up for you if you let them know in advance. I'll bring a jar also for donations to help you pay for this stuff and one for the tickets, if that's okay, unless you already have something.

I thought I would share my dream that I had last night. I told Janet about it and decided to share: I dreamed that it was the day of the meet-up and I had trouble finding the place. Come to find out Janet and Missy switched it at the last minute to Janet's back yard. When I got there I forgot to bring my pasta salad and dessert. I brought the meat for 26 people. Only me, Janet and Missy showed up. and our yorkies looked like pugs. In the dream Janet hadnt mowed her back yard and it was really high. We kept loosing the yorkies/pugs in the grass. There were no chairs to sit in and we only had 4 things to eat. I was so bummed. But cracked up laughing when I woke up. Isnt stupid sometimes the things we dream about and that they dont make any sense. Well have a great day, looks like rain (AGAIN).... the rain better stay away on the 20th!!!!!!!

I just ordered a fold out bed for my babies. It has paw prints on it and it looks like a couch, but then the seat folds out into a long bed. It was only $10.95 from LTD. I finally got a deal.....I think.
