Bumping the thread. Hope you guys post pictures! :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
Of course - the weather forecast has changed - now it is supposed to rain in the morning. Its actually raining now and is expected to continue over night. It will be chilly too - low 50's. Not sure I want to venture out in the cold icky weather. Let me know if everyone is still planning on attending. I think we are down to just a couple of us. |
Just wondering what everyone's agenda is today. It is sunny but very cool and wet from the last night. I will be home and will check here to see what everyone decides. |
Oh my you guys! I've got some serious apologizing to do. I am so sorry I did not make it to the meetup yesterday. I should have got on here to let you guys know but I completely forgot! This past week has been a rough one. I had a family emergency come up last weekend and I traveled to AL. While dealing with that, my mind got completely sidetracked. I am so very sorry. I am traveling back to PA today and a fellow yt'er reminded me and I felt like such a bad yorkie mom for not being there yesterday. I apologize from the bottom of my heart. If you guys do decide to do another in the future, I promise I'll do my best to do better with scheduling. I hope those that did go had a blast! I was really looking forward to meeting you all and for KS to socialize. |
I sure know this thread is old, but I was also wondering about doing a Yorkie meet up in Ohio. I am in the Cleveland area. Would anyone still be interested? |
I bet there's some who would be, I would, just depends when and where! |
Well we should see how many people would be interested and then go from there on location. Although I did hear about this wonderful 'secret' dog beach in Bay Village. |
Hi Ladies! I'm happy to see we have members who are interested in a Ohio Yorkie meet up again this year! :) Hopefully it will be more successful than last year. :( Unfortunately, the weather in Oct. was extremely hot! Two members did have a wonderful day, getting to know each other and their pups! :) |
I posted the link to here in the trivia game thread. There's a few Ohioans there playing, so we'll see who pops up. |

I would love to get together for a meet up but I am unwilling to travel any more than 2 hrs to do so. Last year the travel time for me alone would have been 3.5 hrs. While other only had to travel an under an hour. It just seems a bit un fair for some of us. Plus, I don't do well on the highways. People are nuts and it scares the heck out of me. If there are any constriction cones, and if you add night time or rain to the mix I'm driving with white knuckles. DH was going to take me but would have been bored out of his mind. Plus I got an offer from another member to meet me half way and than travel the remainder of the trip with her but sadly neither of us were able to make it at the last minute. :) But sure, I would love to go to a meet up, so count me in. Below is a list of dog friendly park in Ohio and around the Columbus area which may be a better centrally located area for most of us. We can figure all that out later. Defiantly would have to be in the fall or even next Spring when we have much, much cooler weather. Let me know. I live near Cleveland. |

I would love to find a park where we can sit and enjoy ourselves while the pups play. Maybe plan a pic nic where everyone bring their own main dish but than brings something to share with the rest of the group. I've been trying to locate parks with these amenities: Must Haves: Shade trees Bathrooms for humans (prefer no pot a potty) Fenced in area Separate dog areas (small breeds) Should Have but can survive w/out: Shelter house / free use Running water Pic nic tables Seating (can bring folding chairs) Can anyone think of anything else that is a must have ? Feel free to add to the lists. :) Plus help finding the perfect spot would be great. Not sure where but its never too soon to scout out locations. |
Sounds good- looking in Columbus area next for parks with some of that stuff. |
